i dont know man, sometimes they have the odd ball comment that i think is pretty clever. mind u, they tend to get repetitive, but still...way better than the guys from nhl 2k3 from sega...oh man, those guys were bad...like i dont even think they were real commentators

Well ya thats true too, since i play those games, well played them like non stop, everything is repeated. Nothing beats how stupid man comments are "the ball was thrown, and he caught the ball"

The thing that bugs me the most is when they mention "the perefect shot" (Un Tire Parfait). If its such a perfect shot why didnt it go in?

actually the commentators and the INCREDIBLY slow pace of that game turned me off completely (nhl 2k3 from sega). i dunno, i feel that commentators are needed to add flavor to the game, it makes it somewhat more interesting...that and the noise the opponents make when i run them over :p

Craig Simpson is the other guy, assistant coach of the OIlers. I don't like his commentating. He states the obvious, and some comments are dumb. "He is equally as inept making the save with his glove as his pads." WTF!?!? haha.

Jim Hughson (not Houston) does PbP for Sportsnet Pacific (Vancouver Canucks). He use to be broadcast games for tsn back in the day as well. In addition to pbp, he also has his own tv show, called "Snapshots".

Craig Simpson is an assistant coach with the Edmonton Oilers and has done colour commentary for Oiler games on Sportsnet West.

In nhl 2001 and 2002 the colour guy was Don Taylor, who hosts Sportsnetnews in the Pacific Region. He is a former sports anchor on the local sports show "Sportspage" on UTV. He also used to be the post game show host for the Vancouver Canucks radio broadcast on CFAX 1070.
