i saw Ilya Proskuryakov playing in russia-canada challenge in november 2006 i think he played 4 games and i was very very impressed, as far as i could tell he has very good reflex and lightning quick feet, can you guys tell me your impressions of him and if possible translate some russian articles about him, anything you can find would be great/stats from magnitogorsk jrs, and i think he played a few games for the big club too... also, i was wondering if anyone can tell me how long Ilya is under contract for in russia/estimate in dollar amounts what he is making playing for magnitogorsk? has he expressed a desire to cross the pond? when and if he would be willing to come over to NA?
Thanks for the info, RP. I believe the Jackets loose the rights to Mozyakin in the summer, so hopefully they can work something out with them. You think Khimik would do a Mozyakin for Zherdev swap if one was allowed?
Edit: RP, if you have the time, stop by the Jackets board and comment in the Mozyakin thread that was just started. We would love first hand account of his playing ability from someone that's seen him play.
Has anyone been able to see this kid play regularly?
If so, can you please give us a brief scouting report on what you noticed this past year... How is he being utilized? Does he appear to be showing improvement & developing?

Anyone have any info on him? I know he is young to be playing defense in the RSL, his numbers aren't great which is to be expected I'm sure, what kind of d-man are the Bruins getting? Has he put on any weight since being drafted in 2006? Thanks for your insights!
Does anyone follow Yaroslavl Lokomotiv of RSL? Does he have potential as a 1st or 2nd line Center?
Undoubtedly! This kid impress every time i watched him. Big, but for the time being a bit skinny, with excellent skating – long powerful stride, good vision and high-power slap shot (insane goal against Dynamo in play-off from blue line on the run). Anisimov remind of less talented Malkin version. I think he better stay in Russia one or two year and do some work with his weight.
From the WJC I saw being Russia's captain he seemed to have some skill and fire, but was very small... I know he is not in the Flames plans, I don't even think he is their property anymore but does he have it in him to be an NHL player?
Also wouldn't mind an update on Rail Rozakov either.
RP...do you know who the hell are Ilya Antonovski and Maksim Vorobiev? And where they play? Vastom?
From what I heard-- and this may be wrong-- they were supposed to get a shot at playing for Spartak this past year but when Spartak had to withdraw from the RSL due to financial difficulties, they ended up going back to Vastom.
Antonovsky is one of the big wildcards in this year's draft. He is an offensive defenseman with a lot of skill (24 GP, 20 G, 47 A, 67 PTS, 60 PIM) but according to Nikolayevich, had work to do defensively and on his physical game.
Even so, without the benefit of playing for Russia at the Five Nations or U18s, he went from unrated to 58th on the final CSS list.
Sorry guys - I was out of the country for a month.
Anisimov - a talented center. He has the height, but not the weight or the willingness to fight physically - not yet anyways.. He has become more of a man this season and matured mentally. He is definitely getting the ice time he needs to develop with Lokomotiv. I am impressed with his willingness to play in traffic and not float - even if he is not physically tough yet. He sees the ice very well and is capable of making some very nice set ups. I think he will be one of Loko's top three centers next year and then we'll see what happens.
Trubachev - great player - feisty - a team leader. Not really NHL caliber, but it would be nice to see him at this level - since i think he really could compete.
Alexandrov - was solid in the Super League this year and will likely deliver more of the same next year. I think he needs to step up his game for next year before NHL could be talked about.
The Oilers acquired him from the Islanders, but my question is what should Oilers fans expect of him next year??? A top 4 role, 5th/6th role, press-box PP specialist??? I know that some were very high on Mikhnov last year, and he never seemed to have gotten settled in North America, although Grebeshkov has played here before. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Could someone provide insight into V. Buravchikov's play this past season in the RSL and his overall game? Do you think he'll ever come to North America?
Grebeshkov is a talented young player who could be a top four defenseman - skating on the first, but more likely on the second pairing. The thing about him is the consistency of effort - he needs to consistently deliver type A games that he is capable of doing. I really hope he can do this and remain motivated in Edmonton. He did a good job sticking around in Manchester when others from Russia might have left, but in my opinion the Islanders made an error in not offering him a one way deal. He was getting upwards of 20 minutes a game for the Islanders and deserved that kind of commitment.
Buravchikov - widely recognized as one of the best if not the best 87 born blue liner from Russia. He is considered better than Zubarev and a few others. Additionally he has the leadership qualities - captaining team Russia at times. I think this kid has a lot of upside and very significant NHL potential. Now in regards to him coming over a lot depends on Buffalo and his agent. I mean they have had Kryukov, Denisov and Ezhov in the past. In my opinion Denisov should have come over and Kryukov too though there the agent got in the way, as did Kryukov's lack of development/ice time. BTW - now Kryukov is doing pretty well with Lokomotiv, though clearly not in the 1st round calliber of achievements, but it is good to see considering the lows that he hit a few years back.

I know that Buffalo had an agreement on a contract a couple of years ago with Kryukov, but I thought Lokomotiv was the problem, not the agent. What happened there?
Also - why did Denisov not come over?
Buffalo still has Ezhov's rights. Is there any chance that he has NHL potential? Or has that ship sailed?
I hope that Buffalo strongly considers Buravchikov. From what I have seen, he looks VERY promising.

Any truth to the rumor that Anisimov would be coming to NA next season?
montreal papers were saying that he had reached a deal with the canadians ?
Not done yet.
Emelin probably wants to play at NHL level next season and not at all at AHL level in Hamilton. He would probably prefer to play in Russia and make more money, than playing in Hamilton for a quite low salary.
Yeah it's true. http://www.sovsport.ru/gazeta/defaul...6/17&id=261926
bla bla bla.. Montreal guys have offered contract too late.. i have already signed with Kazan... bla bla bla
btw I think he's not NHL ready defenceman right now.. Playing in Ak Bars with good partners will help him much more than AHL.
