Update:

Flames sit at 6th in the league for goals per game.

Flames also 6th in the league for goals against.

Where's does the deepest forward group in the league sit?

Oilers at 19th goals for.

14th goals against.

Amazing.

Update:

Flames Players:
Jeff Friesen 6'1''
Jerome Iginla 6'1''
Jamie Lundmark 6'0''
Jamie McLennan 6'0''

Oilers Players:
Joffrey Lupal 6'1''
Jarrett Stoll 6'1''
Jason Smith 6'3''
Jan Hejda 6'3''
Jussi Markkanen 6'0''

Conclusion: The Oilers are a STRONGER team then the Flames because they have more players whose first name starts with the letter 'J'. The Oilers are a BIGGER team then the Flames because they're 6'6" inches taller in terms of players whose first name starts with the letter 'J'.

Amazing!

Great post VoR. If it weren't so long I would stick it on my sig. The logic is impeccable, and you clearly point out RP's illogical argument that even though Calgary has more goals, they aren't actually a higher scoring team. Wait for the smilie.

Not sure if you are trying to debunk RP's argument, but you sure made a donkey of yourself trying.

How poorly is the Oilers defense and "37-year-old career backup" goalie doing? They're 14th in GA? I thought they were supposed to be bottom five?

Amazing.

I was trying to impress people? lol, maybe read the post next time.

Edmonton is sixteen spots higher than where they "should" be. That was my point.. statistically, the offense is doing a lot worse than what they were thought to do, while the defense and goaltending is doing better than predicted.

Whole thing is a moot point now. it is fairly obvious the Flames have become one of the better offensive teams and the Oilers have faded offensively. No comparison really.

how do you quote somebodys post without reading it?? your lucky your an oiler fan and this sort of thing is expected.

and i dont think anybody was expecting edmonton to be last in the league. 15th-20th sounded about right. but hey, if thats the one accomplishment you guys get this season so be it.

oh yea, and ryan smyth an all-star, wow,

Good one, especially after your own mod told everyone to stop with the insults.

Did you miss the entire summer?

I'm not sure what the big deal is... all I said was the Oilers aren't nearly as bad defensively/in goal as what the majority of the board said they would be. Not sure how that's worth having you jump all over my post, but okay.

Grow up.

its easy, stop responding. then you can tell me to grow up. dont say things in these boards and not expect people to have something to say in return. grow up, please. heres a tip, next time somebody disagrees with you, dont cry about it.

and no, i didnt miss the summer..lol. i was here telling people the flames have a vast improved offence, actually. you must have though, the oilers werent expected to be dead last in the league in defence, close, but there were teams far worse off then them, roloson was the difference in most peoples opinions, and the reason they were predicted to be better then last. and go figure, he's the reason they are 14th.

seriously buddy, its ok to cry, but save it for when your alone in your room, this board isnt ment for that.

you tell me to grow up, but i always have to dumb myself down to respond to the rediculous people on here. some people just turn the other cheek, but i'll admit, i have a problem with not being able to ignore stupid posts/posters.

I'm not sure what the point of his last post was.

Apparently I was crying because I pointed out he misread my post.

My original post was giving the opposite of what Ronald Pagan said. I thought it was pretty obvious that it wasn't meant to be taken to heart; unfortunately, some here have trouble with that. And then the insult came because I'm an Oiler fan.
