Is Anson Carter getting his game together since "the Hitch" got to run the show or is he still playing like a 3rd or 4th liner ???? And who is he playing with ????
Last time I checked, he was playing with Zherdev and Federov.
Anson has picked his game up just like everyone else and is currently playing on the high speedy and deadly 3rd line with Fritche and Chimera if im not mistaken
he should be a top 6 forward. play him with people who can pass the puck and he'll score tons of goals.
Hitch wants 3 rotating and 4 working lines and now he has it.

Carter is a top 6 forward. We are deep, Carter has had success playing on both the 1st and the 3rd lines ... truth is that Carter knows his own strengths and weakness...that's his greatest talent/weapon.
On one of the sports breaks on 1460 the fan Lori Schmidt commented that there was a rumor out of a Canadian paper about a trade inquiry for Anson Carter. No source, no other papers had anything listed and she said it was something like "The National" ????

hmm well, no matter if it's true or not... that is excellent news for all involved. it can only mean good things if people are talking about wanting Carter. another sign that our cup *ahem* runneth over.

That's one of the most important keys, to have more than 2 top lines. If you have the material, cycle it - makes it a lot harder for an opponent to keep up. Not too many teams can do it, really glad Jackets can!

Carter is on the 2nd pp unit. Assuming this is a fantasy inquiry, the lines are shifting pretty even 5-5 at this point. Good luck figuring out which is our 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th lines. I believe Zherdev-Vyborny-Svitov were actually listed in the pregame as our 4th line, so there ya go.
Based on his new found success under Hitchcock, I would put Carter as the 4th most valuable fantasy forward on the CBJ(after Nash, Fedorov, and Vyborny), with Modin and Zherdev right behind him.
carter got like 32 or 33 goals last year playing with the twins..
Too bad the bluejackets have playmakers that can hook up anson like they did.
Have or don't have? Well, if it's the later he does, Chimera who is the fastest skater in the NHL and Fritsche who is the hardest worker in the NHL....I'd say Carter is in good hands....
This morning's Dispatch lists the Carter/Fritsche/Chimera line as #2 and Vybes/Svitov/Z as #3. Doubt if it really makes much difference, though - seems as if the CBJ is using more of a Top 9, these days.

Yeah, I believe that line was even listed as 4th at one point. But under Hitch, it really doesn't matter. Whoever deserves more ice time will get it.
