I think her next line made clear her meaning. There's a better chance that someone other than Jody will be out for significant time if they fight and get a hand injury. Anyone remember Rusty's last fight and the amount of time he missed because he got his hand caught up in the other guy's sweater? Obviously, a hand injury to Shelley is not going to appreciably deminish what we will all agree is a negligible offensive game! Jody is making his own contribution to the winning efforts we've been watching and it seems that Hitchcock knows how to get the best out of him, too.

Actually coming from a guy who just broke a pinky three months ago playing this game it is much easier to play with than breaking an index finger which is used much more frequently. I played with mine for over two months....now granted my skillz are quite NHL caliber (just barely ) the only time I really noticed a difference was with shooting...and as we know Jody isn't exactly a sniper out there...

Also now that I've had surgery on mine and there is a pin inserted there is no way in hell I can play on it and I'm out a minimum of 6 weeks.
