Ahhh well, days gone by.
IMO Zhammy was one of the sole reasons we beat the Devs and got that monkey off our backs. I was devastated when he left.

how come they don't have the greatest play i've ever seen in that clip: kapanen getting destroyed and somehow making it to the bench to allow that goal to happen?

Pretty sure that was Zhamnov.

I really miss that entire team.

Except for maybe Somik. He was still on that team, wasn't he?

Hey, at this point I wouldnt mind having Somik on the team in place of some of the call ups.

Wow, did I really say that??

Yes, they were a fun team to watch, lots of personality and different styles of play and altogether a ballsy unit.

I don't want Roenick back, but this team could really use a player with Roenick's enthusiasm. Problem is, there's only one JR.

Ha, ha. That made me laugh. Did you hear his latest tirade against the "****ing media?" He would have to eat some serious crow before anyone would hire him, not that JR wouldn't fit in with the media as he sees it. He really would be a jerk that "makes s**t up," just like he thinks everyone in the media does.

Sure, there are some people in the media who's scruples are questionable, but that doesn't mean we all are. I'm in the media and I shake my head at some of my colleagues. Up front and honest is how I strive to be and I don't need to make stuff up to make JR look like a donkey's a*s.

Easy to visualize, that.

The guy's always been ... ahem ... "intense," but that seems to be ever-increasingly turning into moodiness. He's not the model I'd want for my young players.

I agree. His passion and intensity have turned into bitterness as the game passes him by.

That's what I'm saying!!! C'mon, bring him back, imagine his sounds bites after we lose 8-2 and 9-1. He'll tell them all they $uck, it'll be great.

If they would trade Roenick for Hatcher straight across, I would do it in a heartbeat. Other than that you really can't justify paying more than $1 m per year for Roenick.
