Bossy on a fourth line is a big joke

He's (IMO) the best goal scorer the NHL ever had.

How does Jarome Iginla make that list ahead of Pavel Bure?

OK, I tried to go with positions, but there was just too many good centers. So the first two lines are by position but not the 3rd and 4th.

Luc Robitaille - Wayne Gretzky - Gordie Howe
Bobby Hull - Mario Lemieux - Jaromir Jagr
Mark Messier - Marcel Dionne - Maurice Richard
Phil Esposito - Jean Béliveau - Guy Lafleur

I wanted to put Ovechkin and Crosby on that team, but hey, they only played one full season so far. And I guess I'll have the occasion to review those lines as years pass, so...

Man that was hard

I choose to put Crosby in there and leaving Dionne out, but it was a heart breaking decision (considering that I grew up going to Marcel-Dionne arena)...I do believe that in 10 years, Crosby will be consider in the Lemieux-Gretzky-Orr group.

Here are my lines:

Lemieux-Gretzky-Jagr (who cares if Lemieux is a center, we all saw what happen when they played together and Jagr is just the perfect complement)

Howe-Crosby-M.Richard (Mr. Hockey-The Next One and The Rocket, ouf!)

Lafleur-Esposito-Bossy (3 awesome natural scorers)

B. Hull-Messier-Br. Hull (You gotta love this line!)

I used my judgment when it came into inserting old players with new guys. I mean. Sid and Alex aren't hall of famers (yet?) but their play is with the best ever Imo right now. Also, it's practically impossible to not make players play out of position.

my lines.

Bossy- Gretz-Jagr
Ovechkin-Lemieux-Lafleur
Hull-Crosby-Yzerman
Kurri-Forsberg-M.Richard

I'll do it regardless of what way they shoot. I may put a right handed shot on left wing and vice versa.

Howe-Gretzky-Jagr
Bossy-Lemeiux-M.Richard
Gainey-Carboneau-Lethinen...checking line
Messier-Espesito-Brett Hull

Bourque Orr
Coffey Potvin
Harvey Lidstrom

Roy
Brodeur

Coaches: Bowman, T Blake, Harbor

General Manager: Sam Pollach

Here's my stab at it, keep in mind I tried to use position and my third line is a "checking" line.

Jagr-Lemieux-Hull (I almost have a hard on thinking about it )
Crosby-Gretzky-Richard ( can you imagine the passion the Rocket & the kid )
Forsberg-Howe-Messier ( IMO the 3 best 2 way player )
Dionne-Beliveau-Bossy ( ok, ok, this just for me, an all frog line)

Here are mine:

Lafleur-Lemieux-M Richard

Howe-Gretzky-Bossy

Gainey-Yzerman-Esposito

Messier-Bucyk-Morenz

(I took the time to read some of the profiles and it seems as if Bucyk and Morenz were just sick)

Who needs a checking line with these players?

Reminds me of The Simpsons and Mr. Burns's obsession in having a righthanded hitter vs a lefty pitcher!

What 8 minutes left in the very close 16 to 1 game! I got bench my Hall of famers and put the checking line on the ice, we never know!

Exactly what I was gonna post. To win a hockey game, you have to score more goals than your opponent. So would a checking line stops more goals against or a super offensive line score more goals for your team?

Gainey-Carboneau-Lethinen
vs
Ovechkin - Crosby - Pavel Bure

Which line would have a better +/-?
