Islanders trade partner ...

They've been waxed 2 games in a row since they placed Jason Wiemer on waivers. Anybody else think that Kevin may try to give Mad Mike a call?

Comrie for Niniimaa?!?!?! :p

In all seriousness, it is kinda possible. They have plenty of D to offer us in return; but I don't think it would be Comrie going the other way. They have plenty of C; unless they offered up Scatchard, then it's a whole new ball game.

Perhaps Comrie + Chimera
for Scatchard + D-man?

I'm talking out my arse anyhow, your guess is as good as mine.

Indeed, it is my dog! He's cute, but a little hell raiser (which is expected for his age ).

Yeah Brewer ..hes not even the top 3 in Edmonton this year ..Staois , Smith and Cross are all playing more consistent .Brewer coughs up the puck or just plain out gets burned .Hit ...he hasnt hit anyone since he played for the PG Cougars .
Frig ide send him to Calgary for Regehr or Phaneuf in a heartbeat ..hes a big STIFF!!!!!! And were paying him way too much ..i dont think even Kevin Lowe can get him a sniff at Team Canada this time .Brutal ..hes BRUTAL!!!!!

I would be glad to be stuck with any of those three players. Salo played well for a lot of years here, sure he isn't a real top end talent, but bear in mind he had to play with some pretty poor defensive coverages in the last 2 years. Brewer is not a bad player in fact i think now that he is injured we will really notice what he brought to the game every night. As for Isbister i really laught at how much of a bum rap he has gotten already. Geez he has been injured for a good part of his 1st full season here and you have him pegged as a dud. I reallly think he is an underachiever, but with our budget concerns we will always be taking a flyer on guys hoping they pan out.

Yeah, I'd hate to be stuck with a goalie that has pretty much singlehandedly gotten the team into the playoffs, and a 24-year old d-man who has already been in the league 15 years and can only get better. That would be terrible.

Seriously, Weinhandl would interest me, although not for Comrie. And even though he's been struggling, I still wouldn't mind seeing Nilsson as a future Oiler.

Here's the translation of 15 in this case: A lot. I know he's been in the league for a long time now, but was too lazy to look up exactly how long. So I put a big number that isn't believeable. Classic exaggeration. But I stand by it - I think it works.

Wow am i wrong on Brewer ..i had no idea hes played in the league since age 9 .
But seriousely he shows flashes of what he could be ..but hes too inconsistent , which is why the Isles dumped him .You are right he has been in the league long enough that he should be at his peak .Well if this is peak ..i hate to see him on the down slide .He was compared to Rob Blake when he was drafted ...the only thing he has in common with Rob Blake is their last names start with B. At least guys like Fergie and Cross give it there best every game ..unlike Brewer who has the talent but shows up once in a blue moon .
Million dollar talent ..10 cent heart.

Brewer's 24. You're going to have to wait a lot longer if you want to see him hit his peak. Just like any other d-man.

Big centreman Dave Scatchard would be my guess :

From reading posts on the Islanders message board, their fans say he's better than Peca (and much more reasonably paid.)
