It looked bad but it could have just been a bloody nose...hopefully he won't miss any time. But if he has to...Perezhogin-Lapierre-Johnson, anybody?

Since Higgins will be back, I'd rather see Plekanec on that line.

If he does miss time, it could be a blessing in disguise. It would give Lapierre an extended tryout, and also give a reason to experiment with line combinations.

In no way, shape or form is missing your best defensive player a blessing in disguise.

i think he was bleeding from the nose, the puck wasn't going very fast from what i saw and it doesn't take much from nose to bleed.
Let's hope it only that

I also believe that bonk's eye was untouched by the puck.

my gut feeling is that he wont miss the next game. although, he might be wearing visor... or even a semi/full sheild if need be

Seriously, the replay clearly showed that the puck hit him around his right eye. The puck was also going straight up. I hope he will be fine....

Have no idea how to translate this but I believe the bleeding came for the "arcade sourcillère" (I even don't know if it's written properly....) When it bleeds a lot, it often come from there, just over your eye.

Pretty strange that we didn't receive any news yet.....

Not surprised. Had this happened in the first period, then I bet he would of returned.

Doubt it. If it was an eye injury, we would've heard a lot more from the media about it.

It appeared that he was benched. When the game ended I saw him get off the bench and skate to Huet fine.

In the last few games, he hasn't been that good. Especially last night, he was playing very badly. Not much intensity in the d-zone and lot of mistakes...he needs to start putting the effort again if he wants to make big bucks next year...Btw, I really like Plekky on this line, it makes it such a fast one...we'll have to wait for next year.

Yes and No. Its because he does that 4-5 times per game at least. He tries to do too much and doesn't pass enough, specially going into the zone and going out of his defensive zone. I can't count the number of times I've wanted to kill him for trying to go 1 on 3 and losing the puck, dump it in or pass it!

Not surprised if this is true. How many perfect feeds from Tender do you need in front of the net to score? He is not completing his assignments either...

Yeah you're right. I don't think a puck can damage an eye all that much. A stick is way more dangerous. Bonk will be just fine, he will just look like Niinimaa...

You have to wait until you're not a rookie user (90 days I believe).
