The Dispatch has Westcott in tonight and OKT out with the broken nose. We're thin on the blue line if Westcott isn't really ready to go.

Also, it's autograph night and some kind of festivities that begin at 5:30pm. Ice Breaker will be live from the main concourse.

Get a ticket and make it a Hockey Night in Columbus.

If we can't get a decent crowd (17+) for a Saturday night game against the surging Blackhawks AND autograph night... I'll be very disturbed. Honestly, with our recent play there's no reason this shouldn't be a sellout. OSU v CIN will be well over by the opening faceoff.

In any event... I think the Jackets have to take this one and make a statement to the Hawks, the central division and mostly to themselves. This could be a four point swing in the standing and frankly one we can't afford to lose if we have any shot of making the playoff race interesting.

4-2 Jackets (Modin x2, Carter, Hainsey) with Freddie No making a paltry 21 saves.

First game I won't see this year in person or on T.V. So, I am counting on everyone here to root extra hard.

Jackets 4 , Hawks 3

The point streak continues.

GO JACKETS!!!!!!

If we win tonight we'd only be 2 points behind the Hawks for third in the division. Havlat will probably explode on our D since he hasn't scored in two games. I think it'll be a high scoring affair...6-4 Jackets.

Sounds like somebody has a case of the Mondays!

We're gonna win tonight. Hitch is gonna have them all fired up after the loss to Phoenix I think and a return to our home barn.

I say 4-2 with goals from Nash, Brule, Grovvie Duvie, Chimera, Havlat and let's say..... Bourque. And then it's time for Detroit.

Nash getting his 100-102 goals is enough of a prediction for me.

I think this is a big game. (yes, they all are, but some more than others).

= It's v Chicago who's ahead of us in the standings -so there's that.

= We're coming off a shootout lose after a win streak, so this will test how well the Hitch-era team responds.

= We're thin on D, which means we have to become a scoring machine.

= And we have Detroit coming up... so we need to show IF our new standard of play is for real, -or the team could psyche itself back into a funk.

The Dispatch did say that Foote could possibly go tonight as well, so even if he doesn't I would expect him to be ready by Monday night and that would like our blue line in good shape.

Well my negative streak was broken last night but I still don't feel like tempting the hockey gods by predicting a Jackets win so here goes...

Blackhawks 5, Jackets 2

Z gets on the board but the D leaks like a sieve.

So far the Jackets are 0-0 when I make this prediction.

How will Freddie No rebound from his previous game? Looked a little shakey early on. Which Freddie will we see tonight?

Probably the Freddy we've seen all but two games this year.

I think he responds strong. He looked sharp again in the 3rd period, and I'm sure he's upset with himself for letting 5 goals get by. No way he let's more than 1, maybe 2, slip by. Another solid game by Freddy.

Not going to predict the score, but like others, Nash will get his 100th goal.

Not sure why we're worried about being "thin on D" tonight.....Duvie>Tollefsen, right? And Foote could play? We're pretty much at full strength with that group, right?

4-2 Jackets.

Norrena and Modin will both play. Oh...

Is it just me, or is this an important game? Makes me want to walk on my tiptoes.

Why?
Because Duvie will be rusty and likely not up to game speed.
Footer returning from injury as well.
And our guys have been pulling double shifts for a week.
It showed in Phoenix.
