I don't know about through the mail but the team is always pretty accessible here in Columbus. I collect autographed pucks and I hav some signed by most of the team just by attending the official events like the post game autograph sessions and other player appearances. The team doesn't seem to do as many public appearances as they used to but I think people can still get stuff signed by attending practices as well.
I have never had one not come back. It took 7 months for me to get the Nash one back, but that was my fault, as I sent it toward the end of last season.
Yes, I just include a self addressed stamped envelope, and always include a hand written letter, explaining why I am requesting one. I get mine personalized to me, as I have no desire to resell. They usually seem more likely to sign if it is personalized.
My Nash auto is my favorite. He signed in a perfect spot.
If you have time, it would be worth it to go to a practice at the Dispatch Ice Haus. Most everyone signs after they get done practicing, but you need your own pen. The only players I haven't gotten to sign are Zherdev and Fedorov, but Fedorov was rehabbing an injury when I tried to get him so he may sign now.
Check the Blue Jackets website and on the calander it will list appearances of players around Columbus. I met Jody Shelley a month or two ago at the Giant Eagle in Pickerington at a signing. I know Rick Nash was at another Giant Eagle recently, and I think just think week or next, Sergei Fedorov will be at some Huntington Bank. Those type of appearances are nice because you can usually talk for 20-30 seconds and get a picture with them, unlike last night when it was after the game and they just wanted to get everyone through.
And also, as others have suggested, check out a practice. I've always wanted to go to one, and I'm going to have to now, cause I have my jersey signed by Nash, Svits, and Shelley, and I'd like to get the rest of the guys and then have it framed.
So, Brule does sign autographs afterall? Giants team told us he wouldn't sign for anybody - reguardless.
Even after last nights loss anf the way the post game event is like a cattle herd, he seems like a pleasant person. We shared a couple of words as he signed my photo. Both he and Pascal seemed to be the most pleasant during last nights event of the people I got to meet.
Took my girls to see Danny and AJ at Tuttle Mall today.
As the session ended, Fritsche took off his jersey revealing a tight shirt underneath, and let me just say that I figured out why he's so much better this year. He's ripped. Put on quite a bit of muscle that boy has.
And this is for Falcor and CBJ ... AJ is our new soulful eyes player.
Now the "top certified cutie" according to the 3 teenage girls I was with.
Well, if all works out for me. I've already asked my holidays for october so I should be coming (money is not a too big issue, VISA is a great thing). And I'll try to bring few friends with me, if they can get things worked out as well
I only go to a couple of Blue Jackets each year, mostly due to the fact the going to Dayton Bombers games are closer and cheaper (I live around a little south of Dayton). Anyway, I was very happy to get Svitov's and Nash's autograph on my jersey. I wish the Bombers would have a promotion that would bring a Blue Jackets player down to sign autographs. Is there going to be another Blue Jackets fest like they had last year? (I forget what the event is called)
