Stats be damned on this one, because I sincerely feel Foote is our best defenseman. I know Foote and Fedorov are the guys I'd want on the ice, late in the game with a face in our own end.

Word up - I don't think it's a coincidence at all that the two worst defensive games we've played under Hitch occurred when Footer was out of the lineup.

ANY trade for Fedorov is going to involve a highly touted prospect who can step in immediately. Not spare parts. If this rumor went down the pipeline in late February when we're throwing the towel in... I might understand.

The Canadian media really needs to start taking us seriously. Let's not forget who hasn't won a ****ing cup since '93.

Oh, that's right, their precious Canadian teams.

And anyways, there's a storied history of the CBJ screwing the Habs on the waiver wire, so we'll just pick both Ninni and Bonk up by those means rather than trading Feds.

Right... and Ron Hainsey was the second coming of Christ with his 13 points through 31 games and -6 rating right? Is that how you guys "screwed" us because if so, I'm all for you guys screwing us again!

Oh and by the way, if you want your team to be taken seriously north of the border than you might want to look into getting yourselves a goalie!

I won't disagree with you on Hainsey, he's an "ok" defenseman, nothing to lose sleep over in Montreal.

Goaltending: would you actually take Huet and Abeischer over Leclaire and Norrena?
Huet is decent, but I think Leclaire is better and Norrena is still very unproven, but that Theodore trade was horrible for you guys. I carried Abeischer for half a season last year in roto, and he is not that good.

huet: 2.29, .932%
aebischer: 3.04, .907

and theodore's a bust in colorado. budaj is the better goaltender there at the moment.

what?

First i want to tell you that your word means alot less as you blame him for changing his mind and made a blockbuster deal for us just because he said in the past that Denis is going nowere. lol
If this is all you got you got nothing.
If you can come up with a quote where DM says Denis will NEVER ever be traded you have a valid point, but that you will never ever find so all i see is a Jacket fan so devoted in his hatred to DM that he will think and say anything to make him look bad when clearly you have nothing to bring to the table except vicious lies.

Quote:
DMGM said he has never spoken about Feds to any team nor does he have ANY interest whatsoever in moving him.
Did he say he would never trade Fedorov? No he didnt he said; at this time its not on his mind; just like he did talking about Denis back then.

No matter what he says its wrong in your eyes because thats what you want to see. You can only focus on the negative and you will ignore the possitive and even worse is you will make up and throw around lies as it pleases you.

CBJ.....to follow up on your quote above, as I heard it this afternoon DMGM came as close to saying no trade of Feds ever as he possibly could. I would be shocked if he did move him this year or next, but of course that's just my opinion.

I see that as still putting words into DM's mouth.

And still as far as im concerned he could have said it straight out he would never trade him but anyone knowing hockey know that if the right oppertunity arrives any trade can happen and the only blame a DM should get if they trade a fan favourite or the deal is a bad one and not beacuse they said they wouldnt trade a player or had no interest making deals for the player.

What else should Dm say? That he's open for trades if the right deal show up? What kind of message would that give fedorv or what message would that have given denis at the time when he was needed to focus 100% on the team and games ahead?
A GM and the team cannot afford having players who is wondering about theire future.
A GM will always be looking for trades and will constantly be talking to other teams but he will never tell the media he has certain players in mind unless he wants to unload them already. DM never wanted that back in the days with Denis when he was clearly # 1 and he obviously dont want that now with Fedorov beeing mvp so far under Hitch
I know you know this calderone01 but tgerace23 seems not to.

If the media needs to take Columbus seriously, Columbus will need to make it to the playoffs. Lets not forget that the league is compiled of 80% American teams, so right away you're not going to see a Canadian team winning the cup every other year. Yes, we haven't got a cup up here in a while, but it's hard for you to take a shot at the Canadian teams when the Jackets haven't even made it to the playoffs. Although there hasn't been any cups, both Edmonton & Calgary have made it to the finals in the past 2 seasons. As for the waiver wire, I wouldn't consider picking up Ninni and Bonk up off waivers "screwing the Habs"...obviously there's a reason they were put on waivers, and even those 2 guys won't get you to the playoffs.

Start with your goaltending...

You obviously haven't watched Leclaire play. Why comment on something you have no clue about?

Conklin I certainly won't argue with but as a 3rd string goalie he's not a bad option.

hmmm... ok... in case you really are serious about that, here are some stats that might bring you back down to earth:

PASCAL LECLAIRE
2006-2007 3.03 .898
2005-2006 3.23 .911

CRISTOBAL HUET
2006-2007 2.29 .932 best in the league this year...
2005-2006 2.20 .929 best in the league last year!

Conklin is the backup for our AHL team, the Syracuse Crunch.

Our NHL goalie tandem consists of Pascal Leclaire and Fredrik Norrena, who have played fantastically well this season.
