I'd bet he plays. Is there any advantage to letting him watch? I can't think of any. Should be a tough game, maybe we can catch them looking ahead to the Redwings.

and yes I'm a bit concerned about having a team where most of the current players are under 6 feet. Fleury, Kemensky(sp) and Bure were all good players and how much good did they do the Rangers? Yes this trade looks good now, but what happens if Straka doesn't produce, gets injured, or Anshankov becomes the next Forsberg? The team is 1st in their division despite the injuries, there's always a SLIGHT possibility that a shake-up can do more bad then good. The trade is probably in our favour, but unlike you, me and KPD and whoever else voted no, aren't jumping to conclusions yet.Forthe record, I've always supported Cammy. So if I were you, I wouldn't be worried about what we're smoking and start upping your own dossage(sp), before you read my post and spaz out again. If there was a neutral slot to this poll, I would've voted for it.
I'm more than chilled out. Believe me. And take the post how you want it, i'm really more interested in what you as a GM would have done? We only have to pay Straka, 3.1 this year and the Pens who are already financially strapped are picking up half the contract next year. An amazing move on DT's part. What makes me laugh is how many of you were jumping for joy when we got Klatt, who is no where near the player Straka is. He may be small, but he doesn't play that way, and to me heart go's farther than size. So am I jumping up for joy ***** yeah! It doesn't bother me that your not that excited, because I believe Straka will make you change your mind in a few months.
BTW your assessment on the Rangers' kind of makes me laugh. You're using three players, one of which is 6'0 (or right under - Kamensky) as your arguing point. Now name all other 20-30 players that make up their roster......and last I checked size didn't save them from being an embarassing team the last six years. And, the guys you're commenting on were unbelievable for them, so you might want to rewind on that.
I don't think Straka will be our saviour, but DT made another amazing move at no cost. Anshakov if he ever plays may turn out to be a good player (another Forsberg, no chance!)......But we've drafted loads of Europeans in the last ten years, and how many have made it?
I know i'm spazzing out again! So if i'm being insensitive I can share my dosage. It's great stuff!

As a GM, I would've made the trade, as a fan, I would have to think on it long and hard. Most people were predicting Klatt to be a 3rd line, and he's a great 3rd liner, that we only gave up cash for. The size issue doesn't mean much till the playoffs, we know that other teams are gonna play physical against LA, and a 6-3 guy can handle himself(usually) better than a 5-9 guy. Those Ranger player I mentioned played like crap, Kamensky went from a 90 point guy for the Avs to a 3o point guy for the Rangers. Bure was always injured and had to retire. Fleury point total took a dive and he was nothing but virus to the team. The Rangers didn't make the playoff with any of those so-called star(at the time). You might want to rewind on that! Your right, we do have lots of prospects, so trading one shouldn't effect us a whole lot.....and once again, I would've voted neutral if I could
