Ducks out of playoffs

Does anyone think the Ducks stay out of the playoffs? I mean, a BJ loss and in 9th place doesn't seem like a good thing.

If they don't make it, does that signal a move to another city?

Nah cause last year around the same time the Ducks were in 9th and still made the playoffs. Now if they started in January I would be worried but April is a long time away. For someone who follows hockey I thought you might know that.

enough of this moving teams talk already.

It seems like the Preds won 5 games before January and still made a playoff run. Hockey is great in that anything can happen.

Move to another city? Why? Their fan output is decent and the location is pretty great. I'd say that 10 other teams would move before they did.

This is almost as pathetic as some guy on wowhockey.com who tried to say Anaheim was one of the worst NHL cities because of the movie series.

Well last year the Ducks were 6 points out of 8th spot on January 9th against the Avalanche and Babcock stuck Kariya, Oates and Sykora together and the ducks killed it the rest of the way. So Babcock will make it happen again.

This is silly. You're saying if the Ducks lose to the Blue Jackets and finish in 9th place the franchise should move to another city. If that were the case, the franchise would have been gone a long time ago.

The division is still tight. The Ducks only have to be a couple points better than the four other teams in the division for the rest of the season and they'll be in 3rd place or better.

I'm comfortable with that in theory, I just wish I was more comfortable with the product on the ice.

The rest of the division walked further away from the last place Ducks tonight.

If it hadn't been the Kings it would have been the Stars. Didn't really matter who won.

But the Stars were no match for a team with as storied a tradition as the kings.

The Ducks are in 3rd place actually, tied with 2 other teams. By the division walking further away it was a point more. If the Stars had won it would have been 2 more points so the Kings winning was a good thing for the Ducks.
