No, and that's a fair statement. But, and I know this is anecdotal, I'm watching (late 1st period, right after Montreal goal) Boyle make two terrible passes back to back right near the Bolts goal. They were from a lack of effort or a brain lock or both and put unreal pressure on our shellshocked goaltender. I don't care if Boyle gets outmuscled or even outplayed, but geez, he, of all people, has to keep his head in the game. If he were ONLY killing the team from a purely defensive standpoint, I wouldn't care so much, but he's not.
I agree with the Boyle bashing but do not wish to see him traded. I do think he is just getting too many minutes. Why do we pass 3 or 4 times in our own end on the break out?
Other than a 3 and 4th line, top goalie, a couple of quicker defensemen, new coaches and possibly a GM I think we are all set as a franchise to make a run.....

PS Sarcasm has no play in today's society!
Alot of frustration and it heartbreaking to see this Bolt team do so poorly.
That isn't surprising, its been speculated since before the season that if the Lightning didn't go far in the playoffs this year payroll would be slashed.
Not trying to and wouldn't have even posted it if it didn't have The Sun attached to it. I have no idea if it is true and really want the original article.

BUT the playoffs haven't begun and I would consider Toskala an upgrade over what we have now. I just can't wrap my brain around Boyle going the other way unless one of SJ's young dmen are coming back.
Any interest in Lukas Krajicek from the Canucks? He's been up and down so far this season, but at 23 years old, that's pretty much expected. He's a talented puck moving defenseman that has shown great poise at times. I'm not sure if the Canucks would even consider moving him, but with players such as Kiril Koltsov, Alex Edler, and Luc Bourdon on the verge of contributing at the NHL level, he could be moved for the right deal. Not sure if the Lightning could use a puck moving defenseman, but could something based around Ruslan Fedotenko be doable? I think he'd be a good fit with the Canucks.
I uderstand your point, but I think the deal for the long term; it's weird because last year everybody wanted trading St-Louis. Well this year, more people want to trade Richards. Well, some how you gonna have to trade one of your trio for salary reasons
I don't think anybody wanted to trade St.Louis last year and I don't think anybody wants to trade Richards this year (except for Murderworks).
We also do not have to deal one of them. When it comes to the Lightning getting your info off the trade board here is a big mistake.
I would put myself in the "Trade Richards" camp. I don't hate the guy but he is no where near worth the money he's making. If he somehow turns it around this season OR EVEN NEXT I may change my tune. But for now I think it was a bad deal for the team.
