Some one mentioned magoo, well lately his poor officiating has been the difference in a few games. Look for him to be just like Mr. Magoo and screw the game up again. They wanted to run him out of the Pacific Northwest on a rail last couple of weeks. He must be taking lessons from Koharski

Detroit has gone 151 games without being shutout.

Oh come on. Even us Wing fans realize these aren't the 80 Million payroll, Stanley Cup winning Wings of the past. Nothing like over generalizing and putting words in our mouths.

That being said, Federov does his usual disappearing act at the Joe and the Wings roll 3-1.

Gotta say though, I like what Hitch, Murray and Savard are doing with their respective teams in the Central.

I spent a month in Toledo one night ....

... But, more on topic, I figure Foote is ready to come back, and inspire the CBJ to resume the form they showed in Dallas and Colorado. But this is still a dangerous and highly-skilled opponent.

Call it 4-2 for The Good Guys. Zherdev is due, Nash is back on track, Ericksson gets one for old times' sake, and Brule starts to gather some momentum.

Let Michigan have everything north of the Maumee River (just keep Perrysburg in Ohio)

I'm hoping the Jackets can at least get a point out of this. They aren't going to catch the Dead Things napping again, but with Foote back, the defense should be solid.

It's time for Zherdev to have a big game.

We've only played above-average hockey for 2 or 3 (debatable) out of the last 9 periods. As long as we play smart and hit hard for a full 60 minutes, I'll be happy.

OK, some here......and if I'm right I want some credit, if I'm wrong I'll lie and say I never said anything of the kind..

I've been thinkin about tonights game, deeply..... Most of me thinks we will get crushed and there is no way on gods earth we can beat Detroit back to back. Then I started thinking, we are doing great on the road, we are a decent team and we can beat anyone on a given night now...and we have proved it. Then I thought, what the hell do we have to lose if we just go balls out...I mean everyone thinks we will lose anyway.

I think the players feel the same, I don't think they are nervous at all about this game..they are going to play hard solid hockey and based on the way we have changed under Hitch I think we can win.....and stun the world....

Go jackets!

Wings fans got to find a way to whine. As a former Detroiter I visit plenty of Wings sites and their arrogance hasn't changed. There is no over generalizing here. Wings fans feel the only reason they don't win the Cup now is because of the CAP. My opinion, you don't have to like it.

I'm pumped.

This is the one game I get on TV this season, so I'd like to see a good game. (obviously)

ESPN News' bottom line crawl is noting that the CBJ have 0 points in their last six meetings with the Red Wings.

Edit: My bad, I misread. The stat was for Fedorov not the team. It noted 3 pts Monday for Feds, 0 pts in previous six meetings.

Please resuming hating ESPN, just not for this...

Somebody call Hitchcoach! We have a theme for the night:

Win one for the Macster!

(Or for any other reason that feels appropriate. Just WIN!)

Hah! So it looks like "Bubba" is the evolution of "Bubble Butt" back in his Detroit days...

Interesting tidbit from Davidge, pre-game ... the Jackets are top ten in fewest shots given up per game (Wings are first).

I had no idea ...
