He should keep a bag packed with him at all times this season.

I'd agree the NHL is not where Conklin belongs, though. Can't say for sure where he should be but with a porn 'stache like that...
I'm not knockin' the guy, by any means. It makes me feel great that the teams 3rd goalie is a guy who was Edmonton's backup last year, but for someone with as much NHL "experience" as Conklin, I'd expect him to be able to carry Syracuse no matter how inconsistent the rest of the team plays in front of him.

Despite the Questions surrounding if any of these guys are fully capable of being a number one guy, this team does have great depth... I would much rather have 3 back up goalies, than 1 injured starter, a backup and an career minor leaguer.

Way too much time on my hands. I need a real job.
Maybe I could become a Hilliard fireman...

So Conklin is back in Syracuse again? On the plus side, he can go on a nice vacation with all the frequent flyer miles he is bound to have!

No he's been recalled, this thread was made before Leclaire hurt himself again against the Nucks.

Actually, the Jackets' site has him back to Syracuse yesterday (12/24/06):

Probably just to play for the Crunch this past weekend. He'll be back on Tuesday, I'm sure.

That was initially my thinking, but the Crunch did not have a game last night (they were playing on the 23rd as well.) So, what is the logic in sending him to Syracuse on 12/24/06 and recalling him on 12/26/06 when there are no Crunch games during that time? Maybe we'll be seeing Pops up for the next game or two. Maybe there is no logic to it at all. Or maybe it was a typo from the Jackets' web-tenders. I guess we'll see tomorrow.

Save that 20K against the cap? Who knows. We'll probably find out what's wrong with Leclaire tomorrow and how long he'll be out.
