Bruins jersey customization

I have a few blank back jerseys sitting here at home and I want to get names and numbers put on the back.

I'm *very* particular about the quality. I'd like the font to be EXACTLY as they wear it on-ice (not "close enough").

So, let's see your customized jerseys. Pictures and place of customization please!

For the record, I have new home, new away, pooh bear, and 1991-92 75th Anniv. (original, not vintage sweater or mitchell + ness) waiting to go under the sewing needle.

i buy from authenticlettering.com. good prices and my gal is a pretty good seamstress.

outside of that (i've never gone outside of that), icejerseys.com is good with customization from what i hear.

You can send it to River City Sports. It's like 75 bucks, though.

thanks for the replies so far guys. the max, do you have a photo of the finished product?

as it stands, i've seen a sample of work from the following companies, and i didn't like their work:

CoolHockey.com
The Bruins Pro Shop (ironically enough, they use a different font than the on-ice jerseys)

I've looked into getting it done by Custom Crafted directly, but I don't have contact info for them.

Keep the suggestions coming! Pictures please!

I was just told by the TDBNG Pro Shop that it's $60 to letter anything.

good feedback guys, much appreciated. here's what I *don't* want to happen:

incorrect font. not even close. this is what that jersey should look like:

onto chara:

numbering looks ok, but the nameplate font is incorrect. the letters are too short and the As are leveled off on top, where on the on-ice jerseys, they come more of a point on the top. like this:

yep, i'm anal. does anyone have any pictures of their jerseys?

Here is Custom Crafted's contact info:

123 JOHN DIETSCH SQ
NORTH ATTLEBORO MA 02763-1027

(508) 695-2878

You know the jerseys will be done correctly if you have the official source do the job.
Good luck!

This probably won't help since you are in NH but I've had all of my lettering done at:

VILLAGE UNIFORMS
200 WESTGATE MALL #125 S.
BROCKTON, MA 02301
508-584-1170

I've always bought blank jerseys and had them do the lettering and they've never gone bad. I've had my Axe for about 6 years now and it looks pretty brand spanking new.

How much do most cost?

I emailed River City Sports and they never emailed me back.

So Pro shop is 60

how much is Village Unis/Custom Crafting/Ice Jerseys

I'm also very interested as well.

If you preview your customized jersey on www.icejerseys.com, it does not have the correct numbers as well.
Try a "7" and compare with the current B's jersey !

i emailed ice jerseys and they confirmed that that CGI was old and that the 7 does have the serif on the bottom.

i went right to the source with Custom Crafted. for two jerseys they quoted me $100 + $6 shipping. but UPS is f'ing around with my package, sent 12/26/06 and not delivered successfully yet

Stephanie is the person to talk to over at Custom Crafted (she'll probably answer the phone anyway). I'm picking them up on 1/12 on my way down to NYC for B's - Rangers, so I'll post pics after that. They seem to be very accomodating. I hope they silk screen the "Lettering by Custom Crafted" into the inside bottom hem of the jersey!

After all the talk about the serifs on 7's and such, has anyone noticed that the sleeve numbers on the new sets of jerseys do not have serifs at the bottom of 4's and 7's? The back numbers still have them, so why they are missing on the sleeves?
I think I first noticed it on the white jerseys worn at MSG and on the black regular sweaters at the subsequent home games. No evidence yet of any change to the vintage thirds, though.
Keep your eyes on Murray and Bergeron and you'll see what I mean. This is the best photo evidence so far. Look at Bergeron's sleeve in the lower right corner of the picture.

Re: Customizing jerseys

I have used icejerseys.com for all my jerseys that needed them, and they do an excellent job. i havent had a problem with them yet. u should check out my jersey collection here...

The Thomas Pooh Bear, Bourque M&N, and Red Sox Tim Wakefield jerseys were done by icejerseys.com.

QFT. Custom Crafted hand cuts the lettering and is the only place to use the correct font you're looking for. They do the Bruins on-ice jerseys, and the Pro Shop uses them as well. Any other place is using a condensed version of the font and is incorrect.

Here's a Bergeron pooh bear i had done by Custom Crafted: (and subsequently signed)

Village Uniform in Brockton and Taunton is the best bet.

Cutting Edge Sports.

I've not used them, but I know they've done lettering for a few NHL organizations.

Do they still put the custom crafted stamp in the hem? I can't remember seeing that after the 90's. My old 93-94 Bruins jersey had it but my 00-01 McLaren gamer does not.

I had custom crafted do my Lucic jersey back in Feb. The don't put the custom crafted thing inside anymore, and they did it in 3 days for $60. Best option if your local. Here are some pics. I also had them do my away jersey with thomas on it.
