GDT: Pens vs. FLYERS

Ok, I know I'm not supposed to do a GDT, but I have a good feeling about tonite's game.
Home game, vs. Pens, after our 1st loss in 5 weeks, I'm confident that we'll get 2 points.

2 points is a must tonight, i think we'll smoke em tonight. The loss against the Sens feels a whole lot better after yesterday's Jersey loss, but still, a little hard to digest. Let's hope the loss after 5 week's doesn't start a slump.

Flyers 4 (Amonte, Handzus, Williams, Gagné)
Penguins 0

we're back at home already? a good whupin' would be nice but let's just hope for a win. 0-0-2 vs. pitt this year but we own them at home so i'll say 4-3 philly.

philadelphia: williams (2), amonte, roenick

pittsburgh: tarnstrom (2), koltsov

later,
dutch

There is no excuse to lose/tie this game. No Mario, no Straka, even no Fata for the Pens. They should barely register a shot on net. We lost against the Sens, yet again, so motivation at home should be no problem. This team has to realize that they're losing points against the crap teams that we should be pummeling game-in game-out. I'd like to see them put 5 or 6 pucks by the Pens goalie tonight, whoever it is.

Someone told me that it would be Fleury tonight for the Pens. With only Morozov in the lineup as the only legit skill player(and possibly Martin Strbak ), this game should be 9-0. The way the Flyers are playing and after the last 2 games we played against Pittsburgh, the Flyers should be fired up to take care of some business. Easy win tonight.

I don't care what the score, just kick their a$$es. It's simple as that. The Pens will play a chippy game because even though they are down & out, they won't give up. I say give them a beatin'.

BTW, Fleury in goal? I have yet to see the next Brodeur.

GO FLYBOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the Pens board is stating it will be Caron tonight, which makes sense since he only allowed 4 goals in 3 games against us. Fleury lost his last 6 games and was absolutely rocked, i doubt Olcyk will put him in there to get lit up against the 1st seed in the conference.

I dont care if ends up 1-0 or 11-0. get the 2 points.
btw Strbak did play with the Kings this year, when they had all those injuries netting 2 goals and 8 PIMS in 5 games. I'm not saying he is good or anything just i dont think he is laughable or anything.

Both goals he scored were against us when we lost out there 4-0. First one was going wide and deflected off one of our defenseman. 2nd goal was late in garbage time I believe.

I haven't heard anything definitive, but I would expect it to be Hackett.

might be interesting tonight.....RE:Lines

Philadelphia Flyers - Coach Ken Hitchcock shook up his lines in practice yesterday. Recchi, normally a winger, was centering John LeClair and Radovan Somik; Jeremy Roenick worked with Donald Brashear and Tony Amonte, and Michal Handzus had Justin Williams on one wing, with Fedoruk, Eric Chouinard or Claude Lapointe a possibility on the other. No word on whether these combinations will carry over to tonight's game against the Penguins.

Other Notes:

Philadelphia Flyers - Johnsson missed Tuesday's practice with the flu, reports the official Flyers website. Sami Kapanen also sat out due to the same ailment and both players are considered questionable for Wednesday's game against the Penguins.

I'm bracing for a blowout tonight. But -- and forgive me for saying this -- if the Flyers lose tonight, I'll laugh my ass off.

The Pens met the Flyers only twice this year. And Fleury won his last match, which is why I specualted that he might've been starting tonight.

A few other notes: Kris Beech and Matt Murley are fresh callups for the Pens. Martin Strbak will make his debut appearance since the Straka trade.

Let's add these two points to the bank fellas, a good win that came with a goal by Therien, what more can you ask for in a game, and then to be spoiled with a goal by Weinrich as well, where did he get that shot? And why doesn't he use it more often? That puck had a lot of mustard on it, and made it's way straight to the top of the net without a deflection. Let's also add another assist to the Pitkanen tally.

Honorable mention: Brash beat the crap out of Buchberger, where are the Anti- Brash flamers now?

I knew it was as sure a winning bet as you get, doing a GDT for a home game, vs. Pittsburgh.
