6-0 Jackets, pay back is a *****. Ruined my opening night game.

Also, 2 penalties in the first 8 minutes both to Svitov. Hes got to keep his average up, about the only thing going for him right now.

OK, we owe these ******** double for the games so far this year. First, for spoiling our Opening Night with the OT Sedin Circus, then the infamous "no goal" 1-0 loss in Vancouver earlier this month. I would love nothing more than to take out our frustrations - Vancouver is struggling big time, especially on the road, and they played last night, too. Jump on them early, and don't let up until 60 minutes are in the book.

5-2 Jackets.

well, i put all my vcash on the jackets.. but it's only 50 so

however, if the boys don't play with a little fire in their bellies, i will smash my tv to bits....anything to dull the pain.

cbj~3(zherdev, carter, fritsche)
van~less than that

Christmas comes early and Svitov finally gets the goal that's been coming to him. Luongo is mighty tough, but the Jackets right the ship and win 4-2 in front of a great crowd.

Pascal won't look the sharpest, but he'll get the job done. I hope he's mentally ready. I'd think the injury/soreness will be playing in his head until he makes some nice crazy legged saves and feels good. An early goal by Vancouver wouldn't surprise me, but I won't be worried. Pazzy will pick it up. If we get out of the first without giving up a goal I'll be thrilled.

See everyone at the R-Bar early. As per the usual, wearing the Foote 3rd.

Play smart and we should win. I like Carter in this one for obvious reasons.

I want someone to destory Rory Fitzpatrick. Either with a check or abusing him with a move or both.

Its not his fault, but someone needs to pay for the collective stupidity of others.

The fellas need a big game tonight.

I predict a high scoring affair.

Pazzy plays well, but still needs to get back in the groove.

Jackets win in SO, 5-4

On paper I think these two are a pretty good matchup. Van edges us in goaltending and defense but I think we have a pretty good edge on them as far offense (although the numbers for GA and GF are pretty close for both squads).

Both teams are coming of being shutout in their previous outings. Vancouver played last night which should give us a slight advantage. Both teams are also looking at this game as must wins.

I think it will be a low scoring affair. Hopefully Leclaire isn't rusty and can give us a solid game. He does seem to play better when being pressured by the backup. There is no doubt in my mind that Vancouver is gonna come out hungry tonight -- they actually deserved a better fate last night as they outplayed the Bruins in the 2nd and 3rd periods by a wide margin but the Bruins got up early with a 2-0 lead and caught some breaks. Which leads me into my next point -- getting the first goal will be a huge again. We must score first. We also need more than Nash/Feds/Vybes to get on the board. Look for Z to finally get it goin tonight.

I'll see whomever down at the Rbar w/ Mrs. Shelf in tow. We'll probably only have time for a beer.

Lets hope the boys come out strong after that shellacking in Motown.

Go Jackets...!

On the positive side, maybe this will put an end to fan voting. Hockey is a meritocracy, not a democracy.

Jackets 4-2. Hitch cannot be happy with the last game. Not one bit.

Some clown in New York, I think. It wasn't started on HF, praise Allah.

As far the game tonight, I'll probably be in a OTC drug induced stuper due to this cold I have....so...I dunno, hope we win and don't suck.

Even if they don't win tonight, the Jackets will turn their game around, no doubt about it.

Going to my first NHL game ever tonight, if I can get my grubby hands on a Green Seat ticket. Probably going to show up just before 4:30, I hope that leaves enough time.

You should be able to get ahold of a Green Seat at that time, if you cant though come back at 7 you can prolly get lower bowl off a scalper for 20 bucks.

Wear your rain gear if you intend to show up early enough to get a ticket. Good luck, and I hope it's a good enough game for you to enjoy.

I'd be very interested to hear about your arena experience. What you appreciated/didn't appreciate, etc. There are a lot of things that go on during the game that are supposedly targeted at people like you.

I'm hoping the Detroit debacle will turn the recent trend of giving up 4 or 5 goals a game and the beginning of a second winning streak on the back of solid defensive hockey. The Jackets will be ready and eager to rebound.....5-2 CBJ....
