GDT: 12-23-06 Hawks at Avs 7 PM MT

The papers don't say, but I would guess that since Theo was supposed to play on THursday, he will play today.

Svatos out again (Rocky Mountain News). Still:
Quote:
Right wing Marek Svatos didn't practice Friday and will miss his fourth game in a row because of a groin injury. Svatos will have a few more days for treatment after tonight. The Avalanche doesn't play again until Wednesday against Dallas.
It's safe to say the Hawks are playing REALLY good hockey lately. They are scoring a lot but are getting timely goals, and really good goaltending. They did play last night (a 3-1 win over Toronto, which I had free tickets for...nice), so that might be the Avs saving grace tonight...that they got extra rest, while the Hawks had a game and travel

GO AVS!

And Bondra12...you don't have to worry, that pesky 500th is now out of the way for PB...so he can't score it tonight

I saw that. I still dont understand how he scored it as I didnt see a rebound goal but he scored it somehow (I mean that the point of view on TSN and nhl.com shows its a deflection while its written in articles that it was a rebound goal).

I hope the Avs win and IF we do lose, lets hope Bondra scores all of their goals.

Glad I'll be enjoying this game from home. It was a tough go to get out to the Nuggets game last night.

doesn't matter, Khabibulin hates the Avs for some reason.

Maybe there is a slight chance that we will see Boucher tonight...since Khabi played last night. Doubt it though

After the embarassment he suffered at the hand of Dan Hinote last year, I would say it's with good reason.

For those watching this on Center Ice, it will be joined in progress after the Devils-Thrashers game.

The highways and downtown are fine, its the side streets to get out of my neighborhood that are still a mess.

Ah, ok. Thought you might have been referring to parking issues or other traffic issues down by the arena.

I park at the Auraria Campus and there were some ice patches, but overall it wasn't terribly bad.

It definitely has that last Oiler game feel to it. This might get crazy. First goal was horrible defensive coverage by Liles. He didn't even try...

Sakic goal was a nice bounce off his skate and it at the side of the net. Hopefully this settles down.

Wow. Sloppy. Sloppy. Ugh. No defense. Questionable goaltending. What do you know.
