For those curious about what Sheldon Souray's restaurant is like, here's some photos I took of it on my site.

Playing for the Montreal Canadiens really helps.
That's a public place. I cant count how many people went to Berthierville Mikes (Guy Lafleur restaurant) just because The Flower usually stand here at the bar.

See the kind of pub he's got here? Thats probably not the first good free press he gots just because he's a pretty boy with a killer slapshot.

I guess you can really increase the capital value of the investment just because you're well known.

I've some friend who went that way, and NO...
That's not easy and that's a risky investment. Being a Chef really helps, if you really want to get into it.

Easiest investment is real estate and I guess a lot of NHLers have fortune invested in real estate.

It never go down and you just have to hire a manager and sit on your ***. It will really pay off in the long run and since NHLer have a short working carreer thats probably what they're looking for. That's like REER on steroids.

Restaurants aren't easily manageable and nor are they low risk. They are very hard to manage, maintain and they risks are very high, as are the costs.

the hardest part is the starting period. Bringing people in and finding a way to bring them back once they came 1 time.

Which is probably where been a know figure makes it a hell of a lot easier.

I remember an interview once with Souray that said Brodeur also owns a limo service in New Jersey because they used it when Souray was a rookie for a big crazy party.

OT - Souray's Pizza Shop's Name?

I did a couple searches and even looked through the What To Do In Montreal post but I didn't find anything on Sheldon Souray's and Martin Broduer's pizza place. Anyone have the name and address of it (and what it might be close to if I get lost )? I'm going to the Ken Dryden Retirement Jersey game with my dad this Sunday and I figure I ought to finally try this place out.

PS I went to three games last year, Losses against Pittsburgh, Carolina, and Tampa Bay all in the same week. This is my first game of the year, wonder if I can finally see my Habs win

Don't know where Sheldon's pizza place is, but I'd recommend going to the Bell Centre on Monday instead of Sunday to see Dryden's jersey retirement.
