BJ's could be getting reinforcements

TSN reports that Nikolai Zherdev is filling out visa paperwork and could be available to play tomorrow night.

There is some speculation that he simply went AWOL from the Central Army team which could cloud his future, though.

I think it'll be great if Zherdev plays. I was hoping he'd come to CBS to play for the BJs this season. Hopefully his first game is good for experience when he sees fellow Russian Sergei Fedorov netting his first hat trick as a Duck, as well as two assists

Nieds is doubtful. Tony Martensson and Mikael Holmqvist are waiting in Columbus to see if either will be called up.

And Gerber's starting, which means we'll see Jiggy in Detroit.

it would be interesting to see Martensson make his NHL debut, but I would also like to see Holmqvist make a case to be back in the NHL.
