he has struggled...he reaped the benefit of playing with Law and Westrum, and he doesnt have those kind of cats right now.

He could be ready, I'm not holding my breath tho.

I saw him in the one open practice during preseason and I thought his skating was fine. He's not fast, but he's not an embarrassment. He's not a top prospect because of his skating ... its cuz he's got a great shot.

Any of y'all who've seen him in TX wanna comment?

I have seen him play both this year and last for the Aeros. I have commented on him on several occasions on this board. I'm not that impressed with him. He seems to be missing something in his game this year. Perhaps it's because his linemates aren't giving him multiple opportunities to bury the puck as was the case last year. He is a very opportunistic sort of player. The Aeros do not have the scoring punch they had last year so his opportunities this year have been limited.

He seems lost at times this year. He doesn't really have the ability to make stuff happen as a playmaker. He seems to be a finisher. Problem is something must get started before you can finish things.

I don't see him as a top prospect for this or any other organization. His game seems to have peaked at the AHL level IMHO.

Here's hoping it's just a sophomore slump.

Thanks DWP. While that's not good news, I believe it from what I saw of him at the open practice in September. From what I've seen and heard he's much more of a Mark Parrish type player in that he'll finish (as you mentioned). We need some finishers, so here's hoping he develops into one.
