Looking forward to the game tonight. Should be an interesting test for the Predators after St. Louis revealed and were successful implementing their new game plan against us during our last two meetings.

Key will be for the Predators to get the first goal and keep the pressure on the Blues. If the last two games are any indication, we will be on the power play a lot tonight and must do our best to stay out of the box ourselves and capitialize on the man-advantage situations.

The Blues are definitely not a "walk over" team anymore...neither is the rest of the division either...so let's see if we can play our best and keep/extend our lead in the Central.

Don't get too cocky. The Blues took the Preds into OT the last two times we faced Nashville, so I'm expecting this to be a close game. We are on a 3-game winning streak and have picked up points in our last 5 games going 3-0-2, so the Preds shouldn't sleep on us tonight. We will come out to play, and I think it will be a close game. Andy Murray is a great new coach for us, and ever since he came here we have played hard every game. He makes us work hard and he disciplines us more, so you shouldn't see us taking as many penalties as we did last time we played you guys.

The Preds are a good team, so it will definitely be hard to keep this winning streak going... I'm pretty excited about the game tonight. The Blues seem like a much better team now with Murray. Their record may be a false alarm. We aren't really as bad as our record indicates, and I think we are on the rise with Murray behind the bench. Now we are at least competitive, so now I look forward to seeing the Blues play every game day.

Good luck, Pred fans. I don't stop in here too much but I just wanted to post my insight on tonight's game.

I'm not being cocky ... just stating a fact that the Blues like to play the 1-4 and defensive hockey (the NZT) really is the most boring system implemented in Hockey

will be an ugly, close, neutral zone game...if the blues score first... if the preds score first and force the game open, they should skate the blues off the ice...

an unusual fact, since STL had their coaching change, they've now scored first in all 7 games, allowing them to trap and slow the game down to give themselves a chance. we need to change that tonight. get out early and make them skate and let's see them try to come from behind.

that is truly an interesting stat! I was not aware that the Blues have been scoring first in all their "Andy Murray" games...

I agree that it is crucial for the Preds to score first tonight...

go Preds!

wow, hartnell gets a breakaway and puts on a pretty nice little move, but can't elevate it over legace's pad.

Is it just me, or has Suter fallen down on his own...no less than 5 times?

I've noticed that every time Guerin is backchecking...if he can't catch up with his man with the puck, he taps his stick on the ice, hoping for a no-look backpass to trick the opposing forward.

Wow! a penalty-free period...

I still think the Blues should have gotten penalized for interfering with Mason early in the period (when he went back to play the puck and was spun like a top to the ice).

oh well, it's still 0-0 after one period...

For those that have watched it/listened to it, what's the difference between this game and every other Blues game? Sure we got out to a lead, but the game seems to be crawling along.

the ice seems extra "slippery" tonight... I can't tell you how many times Suter has slipped and fallen

Poor old JP Dumont keeps on whiffing on some really pretty opportunities... Vasicek has been flailing around like a fish out there, too.

I just pray we come out hard in the 3rd and put 'em away
we need some urgency out there...

it actually looked like mason's ability to make that second save was impeded by zanon and sullivan being all over him in his crease, trying to clear the puck themselves.

The Blues look like a new team, since that goal.

Dang. Should have had that game. I wish we would shoot the puck more on the PP. Good game by the players. Lousy refs once again. Definately no love for Tootoo . Second game decided by a shootout. You definately have to earn your points at least. Can't wait until next time.
