Wow... good for him. Beats the bag outta being in the doghouse.

But, give some credit to the guys in front of him who've pulled it together.

Isn't this his 2nd time being named Star of the Week? The league is starting to recognize that he's a pretty good goaltender.

And a bargain at that at 1M a year...

He also has not cost any valuable assets to get.

Congrats to Chiarelli to not have acted like many here wanted...

It was very nice to here the national commentators for Versus say that Timmy was an excellent goaltender. Its good that other people around the league are taking notice.

Congratulations to Tim

I agree they all did.

But, the Federov goal on the PP really exposes his weakness. He gets so far out challenging sometimes, or making the first save...he has zero chance of getting across once that pass is made.

I too thought he could have moved a little faster on that goal, but it was a 6 on 3. Vyborny definitely faked the shot well. Even the defenders went down.

He didn't follow the pass across as quickly as he normally would because he was screened and didn't pick up on the pass until it was too late.

"Good to see a Jackets win. We can complain about our goalies, but Thomas is terrible. That guy doesn't belong in the AHL."

This was part of a post on the Columbus boards. Am i missing something is this a joke or is he talking about a different Thomas?

Come on, it was a 6 on 3. A 6 ON 3!!!!!!! He has to come out and play the shooter. The guy made a perfect fake shot, pass for a perfect one timer by Federov. This goal was hardly the result of a Tim Thomas weakness. There isn't a goalie oin the league that stops that chance.

You're right, most guys in the NHL get beat on that play, I'm not taking anything away from Timmy's accomplishments this year. We're in deep poopy without him.

But some guys have a chance on that. They have to play the percentages get across in a hurry, and at least take away the lower part of the net. It's a 10 beller for any goalie.

But Thomas's style dictates he has no chance on some east to west plays. As he has to come from the hotdog guy in lodge 3.

Must not have been watching the game. Like Thomas is going to prevent a goal against a 6 on 3. What can you say: expansion teams, expansion fans...

One of Timmay's nice saves (on Nash I think) made ESPN Sportcenter's top ten last night. Unfortunately Vyborny's first goal got on too.
