So Stastny is actually older than Wolski yet we drafted Wolski in 2004 and Stastny in 2005 right? Am I missing something?

So if Richie goes crazy and picks a fight...we know why

What a great start. Dallas completely dominating and now drawing a penalty already.

Stastny opted out of the 2004 draft. It turned out to be the smart move. He was a key member of the 2005 DU championship team and that definately helped raise his draft stock.

And Dallas scores already. And this start is as disgusting as it gets.

1-0 Dallas

I'm not surprised...I knew the Avs would come out flat and despite being depleted, the Stars are going to work hard. The Avs have to find their legs.

Who didn't see that one coming? Avs give up the early lead.

You almost know that the Stars will dominate this game, the Avs play down to their opponents levels.

They'd better. What stinks is that they come out like that to start the game, and Theo is the one who suffers for it.

2 things -

You know who's been playing REALLY well the last couple of games (keeping fingers crossed)? Brisebois. Seriously. He's playing a conservative game and tending to his own responsibilities nicely in his own end.

You know what I can't stand watching anymore? Theo. His anticipation is HORRIBLE (no hockey sense maybe?), which leads him to stack his pads/flounder/put himself out of position, which leads to easy goals against. He either can't move fast enough, or doesn't have the cognitive capacity to keep up with regular puck movement. And for the notion that it's his 'confidence' - please.

Anyone else get the feeling that if that had been the Avs near the bench with the puck going into the changing players, that too-many-men penalty would have been called?

I would say absolutely not. I don't think the Avs have played that well at all in this period. They're lucky to not be down.
