Best hab start since...

1978-79!

After 36 games habs are 22-9-5 for a total of 49 points!

In 1978-79 we were 25-6-5 for a total of 55 points

Actually Bonk would be gainey kovalev would be Lafleur but that doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

78-79 was the weakest team during that dynasty. But it shows what direction we are headed in

Comparison should stop right there !

Never, ever compared these two teams in terms of talent. The 78-79 team had already three Cups under its belt and was on its way for a fourth one.

If you're comparing teams like that, then you need this year's true record, 18-10-7 (46 points) (to adjust: OT loss is an L, SO win is a T as per old rules)

Back in 79 there were no OT's. If you ended up tied at the end of regulation, the game ended as a tie.
