Ryan Miller's inability to hold onto a shutout is awful.....

Well, after having it done to him numerous times this year, Ryan Miller let in a late, weak goal to the Canes to spoil his shutout bid.

What other goalies in NHL history had trouble hanging on?

Much ado about nothing. Life must be good for Sabre fans these days.

I guess Ryan Miller really sucks then

I guess when you're consistently winning, the only thing to complain about is not getting a shutout. Like somebody said, life must be good in Sabres land.

No, this is a serious question, and I want to know of other goalies that have had trouble hanging on.

But, if I'm not going to be nothing but flamed for no apparent reason other than the (people that do flame) being nothing but dicks, then lock this please.

As long as he gets the win, I'm sure Lindy couldn't care less.

Not sure if Huet is one of them, but last night's sneaky goal from Semin ruined his shutout with only about 2:30 left to play in the 3rd.

I've heard Patrick Roy didn't care much for shutouts if he knew the Win was in the bag. Makes sense.

Whenever Roy would meander from the crease, all I would feel is a nauseous dread coupled by heartpounding terror.

I don't think anybody cares if a win is in the bag, but a shutout is still a shutout, and this question is about people who also seemed to have an inability to hold on to one.

Oh, I'm in no way saying the goal was his fault, in fact he did everything he could to stop it. I was trying my best to recall the last time a goalie came so close to a shutout and got it taken away.

Yeah Ryan sucks, we should trade him asap

really though, who cares about a shutout, the Win is the only thing that matters

Tonight is was the Buffalo players in front of him that blew it.

They got lazy on the line change and Miller had to pay the price.

I blame Rivet for getting that stupid penalty late, I hope he bought Huet an expensive meal.

Miller should be suspended 20 games for his lackluster play.....along with Briere who had the temerity to speak to an official tonight, as it looked like he was about to decapitate said official with the world's oldest hockey stick.
