Ryan Miller's inability to hold onto a shutout is awful.....

Lundqvist had that problem last season, but 95% of the time you were able to thank the D in front of him.
This year its the opposite. Instead of playing a s***** 3rd period, we play s***** first periods.

It must be nice when your biggest problem is not holding on to a
Shutout .

If I was a Sabres fan I'd be more worried about Ottawa finishing 8th in the East.

Luongo (aka. Blowoungo) blows games in the last min.
Blew a shutout in the last minute the other night.I'd have to check to see how many times before that game

I see it all the time, a goalie having no goal against going into the final few minutes of the game only to get scored on. kinda normal these days and shows not that the goalie is taking a break, but the entire defensive core tends to take a break when they have a good lead unless they desperately want their goalie to get the shutout.

Are you kidding me? Roy had too much pride for that. If there's a goalie that wanted the shutout more than any other goalies in history, it's him.

Tomas Vokoun.
I have him on my fantasy team, and before his injury he played 4 consecutive games where he did not give up a goal in the first two periods.
In the first game against CBJ, he gave up the first goal about 7 minutes into the 3rd period. He ended up winning 4-2.
In the second game, also against CBJ, he was scored on with 15 seconds remaining in regulation.
In the third game, he lost 1-0 to Dallas, letting in the game-winner about halfway through the 3rd.
And in the fourth game, he didn't give up a goal at all...but he got hurt, and had to split the shutout with Mason.
So I think he qualifies.

HF is filled with ridiculous people. How are you honestly taking this as a complaint? It was an honest question, asking about people in NHL history that had trouble hanging onto a shutout.

Hasek had a multitude of shutouts snapped within the last 5 minutes while a member of the Sabres.

Things that would have a lot in common with your post:
Seal complaining that his wife is Heidi Klum
Bill Gates thinking he does not have enough money
Tiger Woods wishing he knew how to play golf

I don't know why everyone is being so critical. This is a discussion board, and this topic is interesting, and kind of funny if you take it from a fantasy hockey perspective.

This is a stupid thread. I'm a Sabres fan and i could care less about a shutout. As long as Miller has the "W" that's all that matters. Don't worry hfboards...99.9% of Buffalo fans really don't care about stuff like this. We just want to win the Cup one of these years.

I know, and people are commenting that I'm complaining about Miller's inability to hold one. It doesn't make any sense, at all; simply because this topic isn't about Miller, it was about my realizing it. I want to know other goalies that had trouble with it.

Agreed- and I agree with many people- a w is a w whether it is 4-0 or 9-8.
