Well I was just listening to forecasts from across the country. Today for the Denver area. Basically it sounded like this:

A chance for another foot of snow by afternoon. A short afternoon break. Then another 10-20 inches by the mid afternoon tomorrow.

Needless to say, it may be tough to get both games in (if neither team could get in or out)

If they do play Budaj is in net, and I would assume (barring anything really strange) that he would be in net tomorrow as well.

From today's RMN:

Quote:
St. Louis practiced in the Denver area Thursday, but one of the options considered was to postpone tonight's game so both teams could fly in the afternoon while Denver International Airport still was open.

The Avalanche and Blues are scheduled to play Saturday night in St. Louis.

"We looked at all possible options," Avalanche spokesman Jean Martineau said. "We talked to the league, and the league told us to stay here, wait and see (today)."

I decided to take work off today. I went outside to shovel some snow. Looks like it's around 4-6 inches. From what I've heard, the city is a bit more proactive when it comes to clearing out the roads. I would assume they'll play tonight. This storm doesn't look to be as bad as last week. I understand that the front range may take a beating, but I don't think the city itself will get more then one foot total by the end of the weekend.

Yeah, with Stastny, Wolski, Budaj, and Liles they are really hurting for talent. Oh, and that Sakic guy too.

The lack of talent and depth compared to, oh, the Canucks... it hurts. It really, really hurts.

they are far from terrible, but far from perfect. They fit right in with the rest of the division

I'm not one am I? *crosses fingers*

Seriously though anyone know if Svatos is playing tonight and who will be dressed if it's Cumiskey or Sauer getting the 6th spot.

I hope they put Svats with Turg and Stastny. Playing with two playmakers might get him going. Also they better not break up the Wojo-Sakic-Bruno line they have some awesome chemistry.

Wolski-Sakic-Brunette
Turgeon-Stastny-Svatos
Mclean-Arnason-Hejduk
Laaks-Richardson-Lappy

I would really like to see Richardson switch with Mclean on the third line. I bet he could really rack up some points by playing with two goalscorers. Its kinda tough when you're playing with two players who have combined 2 goals!!

I heard Christian Backman and Ryan Johnson are hurt for the Blues. I'm not sure if this is good news considering what happened the last game we played an injured team.

Big thing here is that the Avs play a quick smart game and don't start off with the usual slow, giveaway style hockey they seem to enjoy so much.

Nah, switch Lappy with Hejduk. Put the old Lappy, MClean, Arnason line back, and give Richardson a shot to play with a big boy
