what's the chance of seeing Forsberg in avs jersey next season?

His contract runs out this season, and since the flyers are rebuilding what's the chances that Forsberg gets back? Philly hasn't been pretty for him.

I think he wants to retire as an Av. Forsberg - Sakic one last season? If he signed for 2-3 million it wouldn't be bad.

I'd say his chances are slim, at best. He's still battling the injury bug, and one can't really expect that to change. Our offense is pretty good, even without him.

Only if it is for under 2.5 million would i sign him. Just one thing after another with that guy.

I was pissed when Foppa left. I'm over that now. But I'm not pining for his return.

I was devestated when he signed with Philly, but I got over it. And seeing that he's as injured as ever I'm glad that Colorado hasn't been saddled with his contract. The Avs are generaing plenty of offense without him. That said, if he doesn't retire at the end of this season (or go back to the SEL, same difference), I wouldn't mind having him back.

From everything I've read sounds like Foppa would like to help try to turn that Philly boat around. I don't see him coming back, if he does I expect him to be as a complimentary player since we have so many youngsters ready to step up.

The thing I fear most is that the Avs start getting sentimental and sign a few of their old star players and bump good young players from their roster.

I would very much love to see Peter Forsberg back on this Avalanche team. We really need an infusion of heart and desire to go with the enthusiasm and skill of our youngsters.

Whatever health and injury issues Foppa may have had over the years, he has the soul of a winner.

I would like to see him back, he is the best player in the world when healthy. A guy with that much talent playing with that much heart will teach young guys alot of things. Even if he only plays 60 games a season, he gives your team a good chance to win 60 games.

I doubt he will come back as Sakic is the no.1 C and Stastny is the 2nd one. He also is injured nowadays way too much and it is affecting his play.

0. He decided to leave when we were in need. Now, we have bunch of young guys and he will only take their spot, oh... and they are healthy.

Yuk it up. It was a Flyers fan who asked, not an Avs fan, as far as I know.

Well, he is just like you, a Forsberg fan. I don't think he follows ANY team specifically.

And he recognizes that Forsberg was considerably more successful with the Avs. Thus, he questions the possibility of a Forsberg return to Colorado.

The only way I want Forsberg back is if he plays left wing on the top line...and I'd only want him back at anything under 2.25M/yr. Bringing him back to be a center would only stunt Stastny's growth and I hope PL, FG and Q can all see where the future lies.

But then again...that's just my opinion.
