Eklund just siad Foppa will either stay with Philly or retire. Normally I would say this means he would be in an Avs jersey next year, but he may have a point. Foppa said that he doesnt want to lave a team that he transfered to, to be captain, in a worse position that when he arrived. He feels he owes something to Philly. I dont believe Eklund but I do believe Foppa. We will see what happens.

That list and it's length is a little misleading. It posts the the date of the injury and then the amount of games missed on another date so it's at least 2 or 3 times longer than it should be. He's still missed a lot of games this year though.

I think he'll probably retire after this year, unless he has a surgery that finally corrects his feet and how they fit in the boot. He has enough to worry about with the risk or concussions or other injuries, but the fact that he can't play at 100% because he can't skate right, and it's leading to groin injuries left and right, I don't think he wants to go through that anymore. It's really too bad. I really wish Philly would have let him correct this problem in the offseason rather than only letting him do one foot and then rushing him back. Given their track record, I don't trust the Philly medical staff very much, but that's just my opinion.

If it were the SC finals he would have played more games, I believe.

Btw, can Theodore be bought ought in his last (07-08) season to create cap space?

Brunette - Sakic - Svatos (10 million)
Wolski - Stastny - Laperriere (2.8)
- Forsberg - Hejduk (8.9 +)
- Richardson - McCormick (1.4 +) = 23 (3)

Liles - Leopold (4.0)
Vaananen - Sauer (2.2)
Skrastins - Clark (3.9) = 10 (1)

Budaj (0.7)

Leaves some 13 million to spend on 4 players...Timonen, Hartnell, maybe Tkachuk can do a few shifts on the third line as well Matt Biron ?

If Forsberg is injured...then go with two offensive lines...Hejduk on the second...
