BOA New Years Edition

vs

Well folks, it will be a 6 pm start tonight. It should be interesting.........

Things are a little different since the last time they met....we both have goalies who are struggling.....Flames have really developed some scoring punch, but defense is in the crapper........should be a great test for both teams.

8-0 Flames....

The Oilers will get destroyed most likely. All I'm hoping for is one or two goals, and a solid PK. But even that seems too much to ask for from the Oilers right now.

I doubt that the Oilers will get blown out. These games are always intense. I expect the Oilers will bring everything they have got. I wouldn't be surprised to see them go into a trapping game. If it worked in the playoffs, they might hope to catch the Flames off guard to end the skid.

Whoever scores first, I think it will be a big advantage. I am looking for a defensive struggle tonight. Both teams are coming off of defensive disasters. Kipper is really pissed as well. The defenders better step up and keep Smyth out of his face.

Not hard to see why the Oilers pk is good, they are on the point guys so fast, they get no time to set up.

Iggy halfway to a hundred plus in the first 37 games. Gotta love that. Tanguay was backing off hitting people there.

Team settled down really well after a shaky beginning.

A real good period for the Flames and they controlled the majority of the play i thought.Iginla is on fire this season. The face of the franchise no doubt about it.

Some quick notes so far. Regehr is doing an excellent job containing Hemsky. Giordano has made a few mistakes but nothing really drastic,it looks like he is been paired with Regehr.Huselius what can you say. This guy has been money lately, another great period for Huselius.

I saw that too abra.Tanguay steered away when he could have made the check. I'm sure Playfair saw that too. No excuse when the puck is in your zone.

Hopefully its a minor injury that is forcing him to avoid contact than him just avoiding contact all together.

If he would have let that one in, they would be hanging him in effigy by tomorrow morning.
