Boo Mullets scores.Kill the second penalty and squash any hopes of a comeback.

Kobasew was crowding Rolie - maybe we have a guy who is willing to fill a Smyth type roll here.

They let them run over Kipper - no penalty, to Edmonton......one to Calgary instead. Figures.

Kobasew is a mucker but doesn't have the strength to pull off what Smyth does. I would love to see Doan in Kobasew's spot on the 2nd line.

That said i still hope Kobasew strings together a goal scoring streak. He needs it more than anyone on the top 2 lines.

What a bunch of crap that last five minutes was. The Oilers got away with murder... no, wait, let me rephrase that. Not only did they get away with murder, but we got a penalty for GETTING murdered.

When i saw that scrum for the puck i clearly saw Kipper underneath the pile. Needless to say i breathed a sigh of relief when he got up .

Anyways excellent win. This was the Flames game from start to finish.

When are these bloody refs going to protect the goalie? It will probably take a serious injury to get their attention. Stupid

Iggy scoring at 1.4 ppg pace. That would translate to 114 pts in 82 games.

Props to the flames this game was theres from start to finish no wait this game was theres from 19:40 of the first period to finish, yup its safe to say the oilers owned 20 seconds of this game . What a pathetic effort put out by the oilers. The flames played a real solid game. And man does it ever seem like Hemsky gets destroyed at least once a game by Regehr . But anyways I sure am ready for a rematch with the series 2-2. Hopefully the next matchup resembles something of a game not a one sided affair.

Happy New Year

Thoughts:

Huselius is our top LW right now. Tanguay on the 2nd line shows the increased depth of this team. Man can he dangle with the puck, Wow!!!

Iginla, what can you say?? 2nd in the league in scoring

The Oilers defensemen look poor handling the puck. It's usually in the 2nd half when the playoff contenders separate themselves from the pretenders. We will see if the loss of Pronger and Spacek cost the Oilers a playoff spot. They have the forwards and Rollie is a good goalie but that defense looks to lack skill.
