They were saying yesterday Theo would play, but apparently changed their mind.
I'm also not in Nash today. Sick as a dog, watching here on the couch like the rest of you.

Cumiskey has been paired with Sauer. The Clark/Skrastins pairing is together and Liles is paired with Ossi.

Another Preds PP.

That must be the 50th one-time slapper to beat an Avs goalie to the short side this season.

I certainly have a soft spot for Antti as he's a former DU Pioneer, but I can't envision he'll be in an Avalanche uniform next season.

It was a great shot by Arnott, Budaj didn't have much of a chance.

Once Mclean and Richardson get healthy Laaksonen should be the Healthy Scratch. Rycroft is WAY more valuable both for physical presence and the PK. And he doesn't take stupid penalties either.

NHL.com says the Wolski goal was from Sakic and Svatos.

Also Cumiskey is a +1

Tough shot for any goalie to stop, AD. I suspect Arnott's shot would have beaten 90% of NHL goalies.

What do you think of Frei's assessment of the goalie situation? (He thinks Avs should throw him out there the majority of the rest of the games and let the Avs sink or swim with him.) Personally I kinda liked the idea too.

I see that they've changed the PK up a bit. Sakic and Hejduk have played on the PK more. Also Sauer is playing PK quite a bit too. Laaksonen hasn't been doing much on the PK. Also i liked having Hejduk there last season he was pretty good at it. Not too sure about Sakic though. I know he is more of a 5 on 3 specialist.

I wonder why Avs PK doesn't try to be more aggresive pressuring point shooters?

I think Theo is all done, personally. He's got no side-to-side skill. Doesn't control rebounds. Is bad in the clutch. Other than that, he's been a fine pickup.
Yeah, I've got whatever crud is going around. I thought my head was going to explode on the plane from St. Louis yesterday. Worst sinus pain I've ever had. Also suffer from insomnia from time to time, and got zero sleep the other night in St. Louis. So, other than that, I'm doing just dandy.

Both McLean and Richie are out? That really sucks.

Are they giving Vaananen any time on the PK? He's one of our most solid defenders, hope to heck they at least give him a chance.

Also, how have Sauer and Cumiskey played? I'm really hoping Sauer can pull a Vaananen for us and start playing some solid physical defensive hockey.
