Damn, that Penne vodka made by Liles looked good. I'm hungry. This is the first road game I've ever missed because of illness. Weird watching it here on the tube.
Also, huge flight delays out of Chicago yesterday. They said I might not have made it via St. Louis anyway, to Nash.
Heard a rumor yesterday, a real weird one: Theo and a No. 1 pick to whatever team will take him - for just a body, any body in return. The theory would be that the other team would just take Theo off their hands and take the No. 1 pick, send Theo to the minors and just pay him there.
Told you it was a weird one.

Yeah, I've got whatever crud is going around. I thought my head was going to explode on the plane from St. Louis yesterday. Worst sinus pain I've ever had. Also suffer from insomnia from time to time, and got zero sleep the other night in St. Louis. So, other than that, I'm doing just dandy.
I bet Coach Q has the same symptoms after losing 3 games they should have won.

SVATTY! 2-1. Way to actually put a little effort there.

By the way, people who wonder why I don't write many trade rumors: Papers a lot more strict now allowing rumors, etc. Everything has to be "on the record" now. And nobody in pro sports is going to go on the record about trades anymore. The theory is that it "serves" the reader better now to have more "substantiated" stuff. How do you readers feel? I could write a lot of speculation I hear about, but a lot of it might not actually happen. But I wonder if readers care. It's always fun to read about rumors, whether they happen or not.

Wow, if your assessment of his washedupness is correct. That might be the best they can do.

But just to stick it to Lacroix for his blindness in making the deal for Theo, I like Terry Frei's idea.

I always enjoy actually reading rumors, even if they don't come true it creates a lot of interest for me personally. Not to mention we'll always get the crazy people who argue whether or not it's a good trade before it even happens (if it ever happens).

BTW I think they'll change the Hejduk goal to Svatos.

Brunette scores!

I was just going to say bad decision by Stastny on the 2-on-1, then he comes back and sets up Brunette.

The Avs need to continue rebuilding their farm system. I'm not in favor of dumping a first round pick just to get rid of Theodore.

Why not just waive him themselves or take the cap hit the next two years by buying out his contract.

I once again ask... can we just petition the league for a special rule that allows all of our games to be played 5-on-5 only.

Or allow us to decline the penalties, and use those declined penalties to negate the opposition PP.

Ossi Vaananen shows us why we need to keep him...that's right, offensive powerhouse

Joe Sakic is now #10 all time in scoring.

This is one of the weirdest Avs teams ever. The only game this season I gave them less of a chance of winning was the last time they were in San Jose. 5-2 win there, now they're blowing out a Predators team that has lost twice on home ice this year. Meanwhile, they sleepwalk through two games against the last-place Blues.
