Preds quash Garrioch Walker/Sens rumour

Link:

The rumoured trade talks were first reported in an Ottawa Sun article by Brother Bruce Garrioch (see other post on this subject).

So, the Preds assistant GM goes on record as saying there are no trade talks involving the Sens/Preds for Scott Walker.

If this isn't just a smoke screen (which I suspect it isn't...what do the Sens need with another RW?) then it looks like once again Garrioch strikes out.

I get the feeling sometimes that people around the league toy with Bruce by feeding him bogus information knowing he'll write anything.

It didn't make sense to begin with, and I'm glad the Ass. GM killed the rumour before it escalated.

Guys cmon Garrioch has more sources then the Preds GM. Remember Mike Keenen is gonna have the coach/g.m dual role in Florida

The rumor made no sense!!

Walker is a right shooting RW. The Sens have Hossa, Alfredsson, Havlat and Neil as their RW's. Walker may have a little more skill than Neil, but I don't think Walker could displace Neil out of the line-up because of the role that Neil plays ( Neil is a pretty good enforcer, just ask Jody Shelly).

I don't think Walker is skilled enough to play on his off wing with any kind of impact at the NHL level.

So basically, once again, Garrioch was blowing smoke out of his fat a$$!!

You seriously underestimate Walker's skill and what he brings to the table game in and game out.
