Roenick

Although he is having a terrible season is he worth picking up for the playoffs. He would be cheap and has the potential to be a huge aspect of the team. Maybe play him between Kovavlev and Samsonov or Higgins and Ryder and he will be rejuvinated. He's cheap and a UFA at seasons end...and he has a lot to prove. I'm sure Phoenix would deal him for a marginal prospect.

Also has the potential to mess up any kind of chemistry.

No thanks, time to hang them up JR.

roenick would do more bad than good. hes a side show in the room and does nothing on the ice most nights. getting him would rival the chelios trade in terms of stupidity

I would try Turgeon or Perrault before Roenick

Let's get Muller and Carbonneau back on the ice! Hell, let's throw in Gainey and Jarvis while we're at it.

No thanks big mouth that often has nothing good to say. He is almost useless on the ice and even more so off the ice.

If you hate it so much then why do you come???haha man
Its only to create discussions...If you were GM who would you pickup...cuz oursecond line has about 7 goals in like its last 20 games....and I'm pretty sure Kovalev's 2 were assisted by Koivu.

If we could get the Roenick that shows up in the playoffs....like when he played in Philly...Then I would be very excited.

I recently declared a thread about picking up Petr Nedved to be the worst "sky is falling/quick fix" thread I'd ever seen.

But now...a challenger appears.

For a prospect, never. For a 4th round pick... maybe!

I agree with you.

I wonder if we should have gone after Nedved. Or was it a cap issue. However, Bob could have made a side deal to free up some space.

Doesn't matter though . . . Kudos to Ottawa on sneaking that one in. Look out they are starting to quietly making some noise and with Nedved, well...who knows.

aren't you just the commentor of the century.

Do you ever put together any threads? Or are you just one of those armchair quarterbacks that just b****
and complain about others, just for the sake of making yourself feel better.

To be honest with you, you're quite boring and one dimensional and at that I think I'm paying you a compliment.

I may be all that and more but I'll never be the guy that wanted us to pick up Jeremy Roenick. And I feel pretty good about that.

I guess you felt pretty good on my thread back on Dec. 10th when you were critical that I had Ryder down as a potential trader . . . and your only come back was that he had a couple of assists at that time recently . . . Still feel confident about that boy or do you still want to keep your balance in being a picketfence sitter as a Poster all the time . ..

I guess not . . .

No, I still think trading Ryder is a stupid idea thank you very much. He's an established (if not streaky) 30 goal scorer and if we try to trade him now, what are we going to get? A pick? Yeah there's a good idea.

Wait, maybe we can move him and bring in a powerhouse first-line scorer like...Jeremy Roenick!

Sorry, I'm not like you, I don't look for meaningless band-aid fixes every time our team loses a game.

Hey tisdale. Do you actually read what you write or is it some inept gift that you have that your mouth motors off way ahead of any little thought you might have.

That's right armchair boy, stay with the status quo - I will love it when after the trade deadline happens how much of a pathetic contributor or lack of, of an individual you are.

All you do is pot shot mostly anyone's threads - oh but wait, you don't do that do you. Probably because you would really leave yourself opent to a barrage of opinions to whatever thread you would make up and you wouldn't have mommy to run to.

Good one . . . . you're a blast!

I like how you say this and then basically ignore everything I just wrote, choosing instead to throw childish insults at me, half of which I can't even understand. I'm the "armchair" one yet you're the guy who wants to rip apart our team after we lose back to back games and replace them with any marginal NHLer who passes through the waiver wire - doesn't get much more fairweather than that my friend. Please, stop wasting my time.
