I hope you're being sarcastic. (I think you are)

I'm not really talking about you phil but just a few people that like to put down teams in non traditional hockey markets. We should knock it off.

The fact is, people who take the time to sign up and participate on this board, are likely to be hockey fans. These fans are the types that do their part in supporting their team and I'm sure they dont want to read comments like "oh, you guys dont deserve a franchise" or "you know nothing about the game".

I guess this kinda came out sounding a little "moderatorish"... its not really my intention though... just something thats been on my chest for a while.

As for the game.... the good news is that there's only one way to go after last game.... up

I'll be very intrgiued to see how the habs respond to their "no show" effort of saturday.

the odds are on the habs side.... its extremely rare for one team to take both games in a home and home series.

I obivously want us to win but if we lose it might result in a switching up of the forward lines (which i desperately think we need).

Mine would go as follows:

Higgins - Koivu - Samsonov
Perezhogin - Plekanec - Kovalev
Latendresse - Bonk - Johnson
Ryder - Murray - Streit

Play Ryder on the PP but this guy needs a wake up call. I can't help but think Saku and Sammy would have sick chemistry together. Latendresse has played very well as of late so I think he deserves minimum 3rd line minutes. I put Perezhogin ahead of him cause I don't feel like this guy has gotten his chance yet.

then again having a team in Florida makes no sens. I don't think it's been stellar for the NHL, either. Can you imagine having this Tampa Bay team in Quebec city, instead with guys like Vinny, St-Louis and so forth? It would have been stellar for hockey in the Province. Just imagine the rivalry with the Habs!

As for the game, I guess Carbo doesn't seem to want to change anything. As usual we're gonna get trounced with like 45 shots from Tampa and 22 from the Habs. THe only way we could compete would be to hit them hard and try anything to win. But Downey is not in uniform and Carbo doesn't seem to be that kind of coach.

BTW the lineup posted by Habs911 is not official, just what he expects it to be.

Hopefully Saturday night was a wake up call...

Someone in another thread suggested a Higgins - Plekanec - Perezhogin line, mentioning the speed it would have. I actually like the idea. They have speed, Higgins and Perezhogin have grit in the corners. All three are great in the defensive zone, Perez and Higgins have great shots and Plekanec has good vision.

I hope the last two games came as a wake-up and the team plays like they have all year, with more heart and determination!!!

Tonight should be a bit of a must win type of game...or maybe at least a big EFFORT type of game...I didn't see the last game vs the Bolts, but after reading everything on this board, I would be very disappointed if the Habs didn't have their BEST first period of the year so far, in terms of effort, and hopefully score a couple of goals...5-2 Habs...

The only thing that scares me about that line is the (so far) limited finishing of Pleks and Perez. Maybe try something like Lats-Higgins-Perez. A gritty line with a couple snipers.

Jeez, looking at that pic, St. Louis is either sitting on a few phone books or he ate Chara!

But seriously, Habs better have a great start. You know Tampa is going to anticipate some vengance and will try to stop any pressure or momentum we have at the begining of the game.

As to the reason I am here, it looks like I will be watching your feed on center ice. RDS is the station that broadcasts in French, correct?
