Brian Leetch a Thrasher?

Wanted to see what Thrashers fans thought about Leetch.

Will you guys sign him?

If so, what kind of impact will he have after a injury-riddled season playing for a bad Bruins team last year and an okay year-before with Toronto?

Atlanta's offense can be awesome at times, how would Leetch fit into this equation? It seems that Atlanta can really use some veteran leadership and scoring on their blueline....

Stop

No More!

Uncle!!

THe Thrashers need mobility on the blueline. Leetch doesn't have any anymore. He had none with Boston last year. He would have less now.

STOP!!!

He's not in game shape and he's old.

He's no longer fast and he's missed most of the season.

This is coming from a guy who has Brian Leetch as his favorite player.

These Leetch rumors are ludicrous.

He's already won everything worth winning in hockey as a defenceman so I'm not sure what it would take for him to strap on the skates again.

I'll take that as a big NO-WAY to Brian Leetch

I'd take him just to run the PP with Ilya.

Is he really that much of a downgrade over Vish or Hnidy on the ice?

Not only are we bad on the PP, we're bad on the PK too - bringing Leetch in merely dilutes our special teams: he's not ready to play (and he wasn't last year!). Atlanta passed on Bondra: they won't fall for Leetch. We'd be better letting Sutton do PP only when he returns than picking up Leetch at the last minute.

Yes for the PP. But has he been skating, working out? Even more does he want to play? I don't keep up but I don't hear that much about him/agent banging down doors...we don't need a guy sucking up cap money with a half-hearted nostalgic effort.

Think about, there's a reason why halfway through the season nobody has signed him.......

Plus I don't think the Thrashers want another embarrassing veteran signing like last season's Steve Shields deal.....

Let's see, a PP quarterback and a center for Kovy.....Hmmm. DW was in Sweden while the Sens got Comrie for peanuts.

Comrie looks great for the Sens already in just 2 periods. He's helped Heatley to a hat-trick and is moving the puck and himself around on the PP.

We better not wind up with another grampa while other teams stock up on talent. I can't believe what I'm seeing in Ottawa tonight. (Buffalo looks as bad as we did last night, but Ottawa looks as good as they've ever played). Comrie looks really good.
