That's a pretty cheap price for a near point/game player. It's definitely a hell of a lot lower than some Phoenix fans were hoping for on the main Trade board.

He seemed to be playing as good or better than anyone else on the Coyotes and yet they moved him for nothing. Add in that there have been rumours for almost a year that Pheonix was looking to move him and you really gotta question what is/was going on with Comrie behind the scenes.

Putting all the soap opera bs aside that happened here while he was waiting to be traded, I actually thought he was pretty decent player to have on your team. Certainly capable of producing points.

Weird to say the least.

I wonder what Ottawa will be able to get out of him? At the very least, the two things Pheonix had going for them when it came to Comrie being 'hockey happy' was that the pressures of a hockey market were clearly not an issue, but will be in Ottawa, and with Gretzky at the helm, Comrie was playing for the guy he idolized and as such you would think was motivated to play for which again Ottawa will not be able to duplicate.

Wow. Talk about bargain basement price.

'Yotes fans can't be happy about this. They basically picked up a work in progress. A work that's a bit of a project.

Re-build anybody?

The next obvious question is wether or not this is the kick off to the Coyotes holding a fire sale?

Seems a bit early but they certainly didn't improve their team for a stretch run.

I guess Phoenix has a thing for Russians that run back to Russia instead of being assigned to the AHL??? Wow, great deal for Muckler, too bad that he had to go to Ottawa though, I guess I won't root for them much now

Muckler seems to get a lot of favors from Oiler nation. Or maybe Klowe is getting the conference favor.. Is there the threat of a tell-all biography lurking?

Strange Strange deal. Trade your top ppg producer who's on a roll, when your clubs on a roll and looking like it could still be in the race..

Theres times in the past where I was put off by Wayne not continuing affilliation with this club but at times like this I'm thankful.

Wayne is working hard to sink a ship in the desert.

Another in the long list of reasons why Barnett is the worst GM in hockey.

True dat but isn't Barnett purely a figurehead for Wayne?

This has Gretz written on it. I'm thinking Comrie ingratiated himself about as well with the Wayned one as he did with Kev. This seems a decision not predicated by what occurs on the ice.

Mrs. Harper won't be allowed to leave the house until July 1.

What price do you think a #2 or #3 UFA centre would fetch at this time of the year? Next year Kaigorodov will be Phoenix's 2nd line centre and Ottawa will have nothing to show for it. I think the Coyotes made out alright in this. I do not blame Mucks for making this deal though since there is bad blood between the team and the player.

This is what UFA's are worth even half way through the season

Its a good gamble for the sens, if anywhere I think comrie should do better with the them, the fact that its his contract year means he'll perform much better.

The firesale is on!

Seeing how Comrie is so used to the doghouse maybe he'll chase THE "dog" instead...

About 1 person out of every 20 gets it.

Great debut. On for four goals for, and made a couple happen on his own. Great job Mikey.

Meh. I still dislike the little twerp, but I always thought he was a good player.

That said, I think he's just more of what Ottawa already has a tonne of. Sens fans would probably laugh at this (maybe Oilers fans too), but I think they'd be helped by a player like Horcoff.

... Did it work? Is Muckler listening?

Because Alexei Kaigorodov has proven himself at the NHL level and he's soooooooooo good right? K.
