I normally don't make predictoins, but with Dallas being so tired from firing pucks at Luongo yesterday, and their depleted lineup, I'd say there's a very good chance for an Oiler victory.

Must win at least until the 'Oil surfaces above .500...

It all comes down to whether the two Petrs can be hard enough on the puck to commit enough offensive insertion in order to put point on the big board. The Oilers backend will have to come up big to make-up for any defensive lapses.

Yes a big but?!?

Let us prey, offensively, and pray that our collective defense doesn't become the butt some repeated and impaired 'CzechStop' embarrassment. So please, keep any and all ill-advised thrusts into the Stars' blue-ribbon foyers too an absolute minimum. Break the Dallas trap with effort not risk. Getter deep and ForeCzech relentlessly, and please BackCzech like your Paycheck truly depends on it - which it doe$!!!!!!!!!!!

Ales, please inspire your countrymen and Horc, even if you have to step on a crack - break those sons-of-mothers backs !!!!!!
GO OILERS GO ! ! !

We are barely a mediocre team right now.

Projected Lines vs. Dallas:

Forwards:
Smyth - Horcoff - Lupul
Torres - Stoll - Pisani
Sykora - Nedved - Hemsky
Jacques - Reasoner - Pouliot

Goaltender:
Roloson

Notes: There's a chance these are somewhat decoy lines. The line of Hemsky, Smyth and Horcoff will likely start together. Pisani will go with Nedved and Sykora. - TSN

Forty-one of their 109 goals this season have come in the third period (11th in NHL). Thirty goals against in the third put the team in 25th place ... Jarret Stoll has two goals and six assists in his last six games. - Edmonton Journal

I'd much rather see the czechmates together, and not break up our PoinTS line.
I seen that earlier, and it doesn't make alot of sense to me. Why displace Pisani, and break up our only consistent line? I'd hope our top 6 remains the same, and only are bottom 2 lines are effected. This is what I'd like to see tonight, but if you really want to see the Czech line, then switch Hemsky with Reasoner, and maybe put Lupul on the top line (Reasoner on 4th). I doubt Winchester dresses though, so maybe Jacques.

Smyth-Horcoff-Hemsky
Torres-Stoll-Pisani
Sykora-Nedved-Reasoner
Winchester-Pouliot-Lupul

Got a good feeling about tonight. All the Czech's on the PP would be fun to watch. Dallas should be tired and slow after that game last night in Van. Rolly out duels Turco for a 2-0 Oiler win, with both goals from Mr. Smyth!!!

well, they're all out for sure.
Morrow is out for the next 2-3 month and also Modano, Lindros, Ott aren't with the Stars on this Canada-trip (with no return date given)

Agreed....very interested to see that as well.

I think Nedved's a good pickup.
Even though all three czechs might not play on a line together 5 on 5 b/c of the defensive liabilities, I think his presence should really pick up our PP.

Here's to hoping, anyways

The are healthy, a little more confident and Dallas is hurting.

3-1 Oilers

Smyth, Sykora, Smid (Hemsky and Nedved 2 assists each)

Zubov

I watched last nights game. Dallas still scares me. It's amazing how great they played with all of their injuries.

Zubov is unreal. I would kill to have a guy like that on our tea again. Great player.

Something tells me Nedved is going to be absolutely flying tonight and make a significant difference in the game playing with Hemmer and Sykora.

Let's go Oil!

It's past time for the team to rally and get things back on track.

A quick survey of this thread shows most are excited to see Nedved back. I hope he plays like he has something to prove tonight (and the rest of the season) and comes out charging. Hopefully the Oilers and Nedved are a great fit again!

Should be a great game.

Good chance for a Stars victory but it will be close due to them having so many injuries. They played an improved Canucks team tough so they still have it in them. The Oilers are in a long losing streak and have only beaten a bad Florida team recently. It will be close but if Turco plays they win.

Oil will win 4-2. The Czech line will look great, Nedved will assist on 2, Sykora and Hemsky will get one a piece, Lupul will snip one and Horcoff will get an empty netter and start compiling junk points like he did last year. He will assist on the Lupul goal by tipping a pass to Smyth that starts a 2 on 1 that Lupul will finish. Dallas will get there 2nd goal with about 4 minutes to play in the game to make it 3-2 but really the game will be one sided in favour of the Oilers. And after the game the team will start talking about how the bounces are now going there way.....was that too much of a prediction??? Ok but seriously we'll win 4-2.

I think a lot of people are going to be suprised with what Nedved does with the Oilers. I think he'll get about 30 points in the 40 games he plays and he will help the PP. I look at a guy like Selanne. Everyone wrote him off after his bad season in Colorado, now look at him. Nedved is more than capable of being a 20 goal, 60 point man again.

Oilers 7-1 Nedved with 5 goals, and 2 assists, someone wins $1000000, and nedved is a +7 on the night. Hows that for a prediction!

Go Oilers Go..... need some early jump. Can't sit back against this Dallas team, they need to limit the penalties as well.
