We missed the boat on Chris Simon...

..not sure how many of you get to watch Simon on a regular basis, but this guy has been a nice addition to the Rangers, and looking back I really wish we made a push for him instead of Sandy. I do understand the risk that was involved with Simon, as his play wasn't so hot....but, he has ten points so far, is a +8 and has 8 or 9 fights already this year.....I was a pleasure watching him kick the crap out of Marchment this evening as well....

And up until his move to the Rags was playing just like Sandy is now.

Given the choice between the two up until now, McCarthy was more the "enforcer" sort as Simon tried to be Cam Neely. Now, seems like Simon's back to his old ways while McCarthy tries to round out his game. How can something like that be predicted?

Simon is what O'c thought he was getting when he signed McCarthy. I really doubt O'c would have signed him if he knew that our "enforcer" (snicker) was going to have 10 PIMs at this point of the season. It would be different if he had 6-8 goals so far, but two??
It was a dumb signing and I wish they would put him on waivers and watch nobody claim him.

Maybe Sandra would wake up and do his job.

Like the Rangers did last year.

Remember when Simon was with Colorado, he was simply amazing, he could score 10-15 and beat the crap out of anyone in the league and definitely had the longest hair ever. I'm glad to see that he's turned his game around and has started doing what got him into the league again. If Simon can do it, why can't McCarthy, I'd love it if he turned around and started playing like he did in his Calgary days.
