maybe that explains last nights effort.

According to the tsn article, players were vomiting during the game last night...

Says that a few players vomited during the game, and the others (6 in total) got the flu after the game. Don't think it explains much other than the few that were vomiting during the game. One's things for sure is that if they really have the flu they won't be playing Saturday... If it's only a cold, then they might. I've had the flu since Tuesday and it's only now going away.

They'll just get loaded up on Sudafed and soldier on, like most hockey players. You have to be pretty sick (or a big wuss) to sit with the flu in the NHL.

I guess it doesn't help, and honestly I think that would explain why the energy level was so low yesterday. Let's those players a few days and we'll come back stronger.

I'm having the simple cold for the last few days, and I have trouble to sit at my desk and work. I wonder how players can play with a flu !?!? If they do play, I really admire their courage.

Probably Drugs or something from the medical staff that we don't get. Depends on the degree of the flu too I suppose. I had a booming migraine from tuesday to thursday.

Maybe it's contagious? If it is I'd have all of the players go infest the visitor dressing room for this weekend!

It might explain Komisarek getting burnt so often, but Souray, Ryder and Rivet looked their usual selves imo.

I know this sounds stupid and juvenile, but I hope Ryder misses Saturday so Latendresse or Kovalev can get a chance to play with Koivu.

Wow, Ryder moved past your hate chart over Kovalev??? What is this world coming to

Seriously speaking, I hope Kovy gets a chance to play with Koivu as well.

Well if half of our defence doesn't play what do we do? put Niinimaa and Streit back on defence and call up Cote?

Doesn't Cote need to go through waivers on the way back down? Would this count as an emergency call up? If Markov is healthy we can play with 5 and put him down for 30 minutes, which I think is the best bet, since the Habs seem to worried about $$$.

I actually like Ryder, but he's been outplayed by Kovalev and Latendresse for quite a while now...

I wonder if Lapierre was the infector. That would be funny on several levels.

Yeah, they don't blow their noses, they crap their pants and look at their toilet bowl water all day long.

Different flu.

And we can only call-up one player to stay at 23 players on the team right? It will be a hard week-end...our best bet would be to find a way to put a sick Habs player in the Rangers hotel...
