Went to the game today. Sat next to the penalty box at ice level. Quick obs: WolfPack best players were Valiquette and Isbister.I decided to watch this game without focusing on anybody. I wanted to see who jumped out at me. Dane Byers has def. moved up on the prospect list. Dubinsky and Moore weren't really noticable (though Moore scored a goal it was one that the goalie should have had-bad angle). David Liffiton was real solid as was Girardi. Dawes and Korps tried going wide on the sharks D-men to no avail. Mark Lee was all over the ice and skates well. Bruce Graham has skills but made two bad turnovers. Dwight Helminen skates like the wind but didn't really create anything for his linemates or himself. I saw a decent amount of Byers jerseys and he seems like a leader on this team. Oh and Martin Richter was real good at keeping the puck in on the blueline, and played nasty around his goalie. On a negative note,it seems to me that the most "ready to play on the big squad (based on this one game that I saw live and the two TV games was Izzy). And as I said in the beginning, Steven Valiquette looked REAL good. Excellent positionally and he looked like he was making saves with great confidence like he was playing against a pee-wee team .
