This is not really related to the game, but it doesnt need its own thread.
From today's St. Pete Times, on Dan Boyle:
Quote:
"He's an underdog," coach John Tortorella said. "He's not talked about much, but he is one of the best defensemen, offensively and defensively, in the league."
Ok, offensively, I will give you, but defensively?!? Come on now coach, I dont think you sleep through the games, maybe I am wrong.

That is an absolutely outrageous statement from Torts. There is no way in hell he honestly believes that. If he does he is incredibly stupid and I want him fired all the more. What a ****ing moron.
Looks like we're going with "the loser sits" again. Blaming Denis once again for the terrible defensive effort (BOYLE) we saw the other night. I'll tell you, from reading Mike's post with Tort's quote about Boyle and seeing Holmqvist is in net, I'm already pissed off and the game doesn't even start for over an hour.
I gotta think that puck bounced a little for Vinny on that breakaway. If not, that was a weak attempt. I was hoping they interviewed him between periods so we could find out.
Pretty good period though although I would have loved to see Marty's "roughing" penalty. Marty and roughing in the same sentence is kinda funny though.
Refs missed a few obvious penalties against the Pens. Hopefully that evens out later in the game.
