Labarbera voted to the AHL All Star Game

Just taught all Cloutier haters would like to know

http://www.theahl.com/news/league/in...rticle_id=7350

Jason LaBarbera, Goaltender (Manchester Monarchs): Named the American Hockey League’s MVP and top goaltender in 2003-04, Jason LaBarbera ranks second in the AHL this season in minutes played (1,935), second in wins (18), second in save percentage (.930), second in shutouts (four) and first in shots faced (1,077) and saves (1,002) in 33 appearances for Manchester. LaBarbera’s 18-13-1 mark has lifted the Monarchs into first place in the Atlantic Division, and sends the Burnaby, B.C., native to his second AHL All-Star Classic.

Nice. Showing some good character by being stuck in a crappy situation and still performing. I bet Cloutier couldn't make even the AHL All-Star game.

Thanks for the post, Bartender... though I think that it really should've mentioned all of the Kings property, not just Jason.

The complete list of Monarchs going to the All-Star Game: Jason LaBarbera, TJ Kemp, Patrick O'Sullivan, Peter Harrold.

Not only that... Jason is also the starter for his team (Team Canada).

Finally, notice who's coaching the Canadian team: Bruce Boudreau.

The only way Cloutier makes the AHL All-Star team is if he bought a ticket from me. Price of the ticket: 2.5 million dollars.

I doubt it. Unless www.theahl.com broadcasts it...

it's been televised in the past (center ice/fsn/espn2 - not sure at this point), so i'd imagine it'll be on again.

found this on the net:

The 2007 Rbk Hockey AHL All-Star Classic will take place at Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto, home of the AHL's Marlies. The event features the 2007 CCM AHL All- Star Skills Competition on Sunday, January 28 (7:00 ET) and the 2007 AHL All- Star Game on Monday, January 29 (7:00 ET), and will be televised live on Rogers Sportsnet in Canada and on a network of regional broadcast partners in the United States.

Right and all apologies for it.... I'm just so pissed off to see him stuck in that sitaution while Cloutier is getting the Big paycheck that I forgot all the others

What is LaBarbera's contract situation?
With him likely to get claimed if recalled, will the Kings trade him anytime soon?

Also I saw Fukufuji at the Rookie Tournament in SJ last year and was quite impressed, that is until he got hurt. IIRC Barry Brust replaced him then. How interesting that they were the King's NHL tandem for a few games there.
I'd like to see Yutaka get a shot eventually.

Labarbera is an RFA at years end. So the Kings will have to re-sign him in order to keep him. But if re-signed next season he can go directly back to the NHL without having to clear waivers.

The way they treat him this year... he might be tempted to go somewhere else.
