GDT Minnesota - Calgary Jan 9/06

vs

Nilson back, Godard up with the Flames...could be some fireworks. The guy with the best record against the Flames, is Demitra. Gaborik has not played as well traditionally.

Langkow and Tanguay have put up excellent numbers against the Wild.

Flames have played a pretty good first period. The ref appears to have put his whistle in his pocket - good. Ritchie is being a little fire ball.

Great win by the Flames! Let's keep it rollin' into Colorado.

Nice work, Godard! You definately served your purpose out there tonight by givin' Boogaard a beat down. We need this guy on the team permanently, replacing McCarty!

the Moss slashing penalty has to be one of the funniest penalty calls all season. Literally didn't even swing at him yet alone touch him.

Ok, it was a tko with Boogard being woozy. Just nice to see the Flames toughening up. They were a tougher team last night. Godard added to the Flames big time.

Beat down would be the best words to describe that fight last night. Way to go Godard. And Godard's skills look not bad for a 4th line scrapper. He skates smooth and can take a pass. I'd take him over McCarty maybe. Darren knows what it takes in the playoffs though. I don't think we Flames fans should forget how well he played against Anaheim.

Ritchie has got to be re-signed for the 3rd/4th lines.

Now will the Jekyll and Hyde act continue Thursday in Denver???

Without Jarome Iginla, it's a awesome win against the Wild. Matthew Lombardi play very good game, it's very interesting for this young intensity player. Welcome Back Kipprusoff ! That's the way to win !

Big game against the Av's and the oilers this week ... Go Flames Go !

No kidding! Did the ref look away for a few seconds, and then be like "oh hey, that guy's stick is broken.. must have been someone near him, couldn't have been his own stupidity.. um.. hmm.. that guy.."

For those who weren't at the game...during the pre-game warm up, both Goddard and Boogard came nose to nose at centre ice...they started jawing at each other and even got a few shoves in before Amonte came in to split them up...And yes, Goddard did pound Boogard pretty good....Official word today is Boogard has a concussion....

I don't want to see anyone get a concussion, but Boogard has really been roughing smaller players on the Flames up. Maybe he will reconsider the next time they meet.
