I don't think he realized he was being closed in on so quickly.

No kidding...I am honestly stunned that they pulled out a victory tonight.

I guess this evens up the loss they shouldn't have had when they played Florida at home.

Eat it, Phoenix!

What I love about these wins is that the boys are surviving but at the same time while surviving in a way that makes it obvious they still need help on D.

They still aren't making good first passes, still having trouble clearing the zone, still scrambling a bit... but surviving with strong work ethic and good TEAM defense from our forwards and from Roloson.

Lowe may see 2 goals on the scoreboard but he'll still know he neesd to get us help.

Your still *****ing about the reffing after that "holding" penalty on smith? Even if you take away the Oilers goal on the pick, then take away the Sharks goal on the PP, 3-2 or 2-1 it makes no difference.

Well it was Marleau, not very many people in the league can outskate him.

We beat Florida didn't we? I'm pretty sure we did.

Also, Gene in the dressing room there with everyone ignoring him until at the end when they all yelled his name.... that was great stuff.

Are freaking kidding me.

Smith - 24:59
Hedja - 26:47
Bergeron - 24:51

These guys are going to sleep well tonight and they deserve a hand from all of us.

Edit: Even Gilbert had a great game for his first ever game. +1 & 13:23

I would like to make a motion that Cerebral is hereby forbidden to leave the house on game nights.

It's blatantly obvious that hanging around with us losers is good for the Oilers' biorhythyms.

Now let's have a Trek vs. Star Wars debate!

Yeah, you're right of course. I meant the Vancouver game, I think.

It was awesome.

Gene trying to ask about the D being young but botching it entirely and Smith not getting what he was saying.

Matt Greene trying to answer questions while Mac T yells about curfew.

Raffi nearly blinding me getting undressed in the background while Gene looks confused trying to find out if he can ask Roloson a question.

Gene saying goodnight and getting "Geeene" yells like he was Norm on Cheers.

Someone get that man some liquor. Time is a factor people.

Does anyone else, in the Edmonton area, not want to go out side.

There's no doubt in my mind that Hejda should draw in ahead of Tjarnqvist for the forseeable future.

I've been a detractor, but Bergeron deserves kudos for tonight.

Nearly 25 minutes, a goal and assist, and the mistakes weren't as glaring tonight. He did well, considering who we were playing.

GIGANTIC WIN!!!

I am so freaking happy right now. Hejda was huge again, you can see his experience under pressure in international competition shining through. He does not seem even the slightest bit fazed to battle it out in the corners with Marleau and Thornton, made it look easy a few times against them.

Couldn't agree with you more. A great game from him and the other fill ins, I was thoroughly impressed.

And (of course), after I've been bashing Nedved left and right, he comes out and shows me up like crazy tonight. He was all over the place and did exactly what I said he needed to do, create offense on his own. If he continues to play the way he did tonight, he'll fill one of our needs and allow Lowe to completely focus on a d-man. As if it wasn't already high up there on his to do list.. it was only a headline in today's paper.
